    there isnt a refresh list

  • taerbkb Jun 06, 2008

my Opal had a previous owner, so i was deleting some of the songs that i didnt like. and i didnt have the CD to install the software, but WIndows Media Player allowed me to use that to Sync the songs over to it as i had done before. I hit shuffle on accident, which deletes old files to replace with new ones. And i had deleted everything. So, that was no big deal however i went to create a playlist to sync to the Opal, and it would give an error to about half the way through the play list and complete. SO then i would turn on my Opal and it would say empty.. Helpppp!!. pleaseee :-)

Songs wont upload to player

What format was the track in? If is was some weird format (.ogg .pca .m64 ect) The player may not reconize it.

When you Plug in the player and the box appears saying "what do ya wanna do?" Choose Open folder to view files. look around for the track. Click, storage media. Just click on possible folders on your mp3 player. If it DOES show up on your computer, then the format of the track is not right for the player. Try downloading Audio Converters (you can find them on Cnet, ect) And convert it to a more universal format. (WMA, MP3, ect)

Hope this helped!

My husband got somemusic on my go gear mp3 player and it wont let me listen to it it says file format not supported and i dont know how to take them off or get more on!

The songs that you are playing are either in AAC (iTunes) format - which is not supported by the player - or they are DRM-encrypted. If you really do have an SA6045, the player can definitely handle DRM encrypted-WMA's. If you have a newer Philips - different model # - then the player may not support DRM-encrypted files. The best thing to do is to download songs (or convert songs from CD as the other helper suggested) that are in pure mp3 format. Examples of services that do this are Rhapsody's Mp3-only Subscription (other Rhapsody subscriptions are DRM-encrypted, which will not work); or Limewire (make sure the format you are downloading is mp3 and not something else).

It Wont Read The songs

The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).

Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

Can't get new songs to synchronize

Get the firmware upgrade for the player, and make sure the songs are in the correct format - mp3 format is best

Not supported format

Well whats happening is the mp3 player doesnt support that file but if you go to Windows Media PLayer somtimes it will actually change the music format. Or if you're downloading your tracks you could try getting your tracks off cd's. When you downloading songs off the internet I'd suggest using Lime Wire.

I cant format my mp3 player

Did you try formatting it from software or the process through My Computer. If you used software process try this other way below.

To format your device first click on "Start" then click on "My Computer" now look for your mp3 player, if it hasn't been change the names usually called "Removable Disk", once you've found that right-click on it then click on "Format".

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.
