Actually, you don't need to update, you need to reinstall the latest updated version of Safari. Doing this will replace all the previous version's database and files.

Let me give you the instructions, open this link (click here), this will open up the Safari Download page (latest version), once it's opened, you'll see two boxes :
I have a new Imac. - 035e32a.jpg

In the first box, enter your email address. Look at the "Location", if you see your country name, leave it, if not, enter your country name in the "Other" box, now click the "Download Now" button, save it and install it. This will update your Safari to the latest version. If you want to do it again after few weeks or few months, follow the same instructions.

Some softwares are available only with Updates, but some are not and so Safari doesn't have the update file, but we need to download and reinstall the program everytime we need to update.

[update feature was available recently, but now it's not...]

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Nikon Coolscan 9000 not working w Mac Snow Leopard 10.6+

You're not going to be happy with this answer:

Nikon has formally sworn off doing ANY future software updates for their scanners. They stopped at 10.4 (pre-Leopard)

See

Yes, there are a LOT of people VERY unhappy with this answer, but we're all kind of stuck with it.

I cannot use my AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 with Snow Leopard

I had the same problem. Upgraded from G5 PowerPC Tiger OS to iMac Snow Leopard. Have a Snapscan 1236U (ScanWise) and got the same error message ("cannot find the current ColorSync System Profile"). Downloaded trial version of VueScan (www.hamrick.com) , scanner worked, so purchased the VueScan Professional Edition ($79.99) (Standard Version is $39.99). My scanner is now working GREAT!

I have imac. and i want to change his operating

Yes it is very easy to do as you are running a Mac with Intel Processor. You have Mac OSx Leopard with updates 1,2, & 3. To upgrade to Mac OSx Snow Leopard you must buy the upgrade. Go here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/ On the top right click (Buy Now) You will have to pay $29 which is a bargain. Once you get the upgrade on CD simply follow the directions for the simple upgrade. I did the same thing when Snow Leopard came out. It is well worth the $29.

If you updated from Leopard to Snow Leopard you should note that safari for Snow Leopard is different from that for Leopard. Do a clean instal of Snow Leopard and that should sort the problem out. Hope this helps
