Question about KitchenAid KSRS25IL Side by Side Refrigerator
Our kenmore refrigerator is about 5 years old. Within the past year we have noticed that the water dispenser will dispense something with the water that looks like a wet piece of paper. If you let it stick to the side of your glass, it eventually looks slimy. You can also lift it out of the glass and it seems to be some sort of slime. It has nothing to do with the filter. We have changed the filter several times in the past year with no change to the algae/slime. It seems to be on the sides of the tubing that runs through the refrigerator before being dispensed. Any suggestions on how to get rid of whatever it is?
I saw a post regarding a Kenmore refrigerator that mentioned a problem with slime in the water line. We have the exact same problem but with a KitchenAid KSRS27IKSS01 model. Has anyone found a resolution?
SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT IT SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE BLACK ALGEA IN YOU WATER SYS WHICH IS GOING TO REQUIRE A TECH TO REPLACE ALL THE TUBING IN YOUR WATER INLET SYS TO GET RID OF IT. GOOD LUCK AND CONTACT APPLIANCE SERVICE CO. P.S. DON'T DRINK THE WATER OR USE THE ICE IT WILL CAUSE MEDICAL COMPLICATIONS
