Simple instructions to transfer pictures from Verizon 3G Droid (Motorola) to a Toshiba Lap top with windows 7. It asks for an SD Card to be used??

An SD Card is for camera. You phone uses a SIM Card.
The long and slow way is you could email the pictures from the phone to your email address then get on the laptop to retrieve them.

Check on Motorola's site for your phone to see if there is some type of Software Suite that you can install on the computer and then connect the phone to the computer to download the pictures.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "MotorolaSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Software or Drivers.

If your phone came with a cable that you plug one end into the phone and the other end into the computer's USB Port then you could use it to download the pictures. Once you plug it into the computer's usb port the computer will recognize it as a device and you can search thru the phone's folders for the pictures.

My droid is stuck

Hello,

the problem is as a result of software corruption. Your phone operating system is corrupt for one reason or the other. The phone operating system might have gotten virus through bluetooth transfer, internet browsing or via the memory card.

To solve the problem, you need to flash the phone . Flashing the phone means reinstalling the phones operating system software files. The phone will be fully formatted and a fresh operating system files will be reinstalled.

You can use software updater to flash the phone. Download software updater from motorola.com. Install it on your computer, open the software updater, connect the phone via usb cable to your computer. Allow the computer to recognize the phone, then click update. Follow all direction from the software updater application. And your computer must be connected to the internet.

I hope you understand this.

Good luck.

My computer does not recognize my Motorola droid when i plug it in. how can i get it to work? I've already tried resetting it to factory settings.

In order for the computer to recognize the Droid, you must "Mount" it.

To do this, first plug in the usb cord to the computer and the droid. Then touch the notification bar on the top of the droid and draw your finger down. Touch "USB connected". A popup screen appears asking you if you want to "Mount". Choose "Mount" and the Droid will appear as another drive on your computer.

Hope that helps.

Motorola VE 440 computer does not recognize when connected w/USB

you might want to try it with a computer running Windows Vista - older operating systems will generally tell you that something is plugged into the USB port but will not allow you to access it as it does not recognize new software.

Solution

Since you havent got USB (I assume an older or non functional usb port) buy a serial data cable with one end the serial connector and at the other end the mini usb connector to plug in the phone.

I dont know your location but these can be found for app. 20$

You have to use software as well such as Motorola Mobile PhoneTools which is free.
