Well, let me add you one more thing, have you tried the same monitor on another computer/Laptop? If not try it, first, we need to find out the culprit, and then i'll assist you how to fix it if it's possible from users end.
If it powers up without any problem, then you also need to check the video cable. Of course, you were right, the video card overheated could be the issue, but in most cases, that's not only the case, even the video cable can cause the same. I hope there's no problem with the monitor since you can see the message "No Signal-Digital"..
