Question about Linksys Wireless-G WMP54GS 802.11g/b (DHWMP54GS)
Okay recently downgraded my OS from Windows XP Pro to Windows XP Home and afterwards getting all the drivers for everything i lost, my wireless card still doesnt work, even after i installed a driver for it. then i looked in the device manager and it doesnt even show my card, so i tried the Add Hardware and it doesnt show it in there either. I already have a driver for it but it doesnt detect it...is this possible?
Try going to add hardware. Then select yes, the hardware is installed. When it gives you the list of installed devices, go to the bottom and select add new hardware device. After that select the advanced option to select "install the hardware I manually select from a list". On the next page, select network adapters. Then click "have disk" you will now have to put your driver in a folder(usually on the desktop). After you select have disk you will browse for the folder which has the driver. Make sure your driver has a file that has the extension ".inf" as this is needed to install the driver.
