Post the model number of the thermostat and we can help you. The numbers may be behind any door on the thermostat or you may be able to remove the face plate and numbers should be molded into the plastic. Also include the model numer of the Carrier HVAC unit.

Your post didn't mention the Tstat model, if it is new or existing, what if anything might have changed near the tstat (new appliance, ceiling fan in the area) and so on. If it's new and wired correctly and the old one worked fine in the exact same mounting location, then it could be as simple as a defective tstat. If it's existing it could still be defective. On simple systems the tstat control lead for cooling turns on the condensing unit outside and the air handler inside, while the heat control lead on a non-heat pump unit turns on the air handler and heat strip. Newer systems split up the inside and outside units and control them separately to be more efficient. I don't know if you're having an issue with the heat or cool mode. If it's not the tstat then you will likely need to have a trained professional evaluate your system for system issues. Home depot carries Honeywell which Trane uses in their residential systems. Smart tstats are appearing now and while they have their advantages, putting one in an old system would be like putting a new Porsche engine in an old car with the original legacy transmission, so to speak.

Carrier OEM to Honeywell Programmable Tstat - NEED HELP

you likely have a "two stage" system, but not a two stage heat pump. the first stage is probably the heat pump itself, and the second stage is the auxilliary resistance heat that suppliments the heat pump at lower temps. if i knew the terminals that are available on the new stat, i could advise you on the proper wiring.

I have a Defiant Electronic deadbolt from home Depot. model G1X2D01. ive lost the manual and i need to delete some old codes from it.

Snap off the back cover (opposite where you punch the numbers) by pinching the sides and pulling off. Do not press a pen or anything into the small light, you do not need too. Just pinch and yank off cover. You will see a small light and beside it is a small SET button by the batteries, it is labelled.. Press this Set button for 2 seconds. The red LED will light on the front code side and beep twice to indicate you are in programming mode. Enter your current code that you want to change (factory set is 12345) and then press the button that looks like a little lock on the keypad. Enter the digits "10" and press the lock button again. Enter the new code (must be six digits) and then press the lock button again. The red light should go on continously for 10 seconds. The code should be effective.
Note: if you have problems like we did, you can also remove one battery and press the "set" button simulataneously when you reinsert the battery. This resets the factory code of 12345. Then you can start over. For some reason our old code was only 4 digits, but it would not let us reprogram a 4 digit code. It didn't work until we did a 6 digit new code.

My heating and air digatal thermostat is stuck at 76 degress it shows a symbol of a lock and will not allow me to over ride the setting. How can i get rid of that and change my settings? also it says...

there are a comple things you might try here. 1. on the door to the tstat there shuld be instructions on the tstat on how to program it. 2. You can also remove the batteries from the unit as well and leave them out for a while to reset it. You may also have to remove the tstat by pulling it out from the bottom and lifting it off then replacing it. this off course is with out the batteries installed.
As to the filter light . Newer tstats have a feature to remind home owners to service the filters which is all to common ingnored. You do not say the tstats make or model .. that 2 would help

Expired otksl ---no SERVICE but I am paying what the heck???? wish aI had not bought this phone

If you purchased the phone together with the service contract, contact your phone service provider's customer support.

If you purchased the phone separately as a new device, contact the seller for a replacement.

If you purchased a second-hand phone, this phone was bound to a service contract and will work with the original SIM card only. The OTSKL acronym stands for "One Time Keypad Subsidy Lock" and as the name says, it can be used one time only to register to a network.

For reference, see US Pat. 6314283:
"A cellular phone subsidy lock which ensures that a cellular phone, sold to an end-user at a price subsidized by a cellular carrier, is activated only on the subsidizing carrier's network, and not on a competitor's network. A secure carrier code, specific to and known by the subsidizing carrier, is programed into the cellular phone by the phone manufacturer. The phone is programmed and shipped by the manufacturer in a locked condition, which prevents programming of the NAM (Number Assignment Module) of the cellular phone without first entering either a valid unlock code or a valid remove lock code. At the time of phone activation and programming of the NAM, the phone's ESN (Electronic Serial Number) is entered into the carrier computer system, which utilizes the ESN and carrier code to execute a subsidy lock algorithm which outputs an unlock code and a remove lock code. At the carrier's choice, either code is given to the end user to be entered into the phone. The phone then executes the same subsidy lock algorithm, using the carrier code programmed at the time of manufacture, and it's own ESN, to calculate the unlock code and the remove lock code. If the code entered by the user matches the unlock code, NAM programming is allowed to proceed only once, and if the entered number matches the remove lock code, the phone removes the subsidy lock completely."

Installing ink cartridge

Perhaps the Lexmark X4600 User's Guide will be able to guide you. If you have already installed the Lexmark software on your computer (Windows), you can view the User's Guide by going to the Start menu ? Programs ? Lexmark X4600 Series ? User's Guide. Scroll to page 94 for instructions on how to install the ink cartridge. If not, you can download it for free from the Lexmark website at Lexmark X4600 User's Guide.
Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't position automatically to the center even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the carrier to the middle of the printer. Remove the used cartridges. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source.
Hope this helps. Thanks.

Message: "in recovery"

the "in recovery mode" is refering to a thing called energy recovery management its one of the features on your tstat what it does- when you are using the program on your tstat the "in recovery" starts your unit early so if the tstat is set to be 70 degrees at 8 in the morning when 8 o clock hits it will already be 70 degrees in your house you can turn this feature off if you want in the installation setup codes

Carrier thermostat reading stuck on 50 but doesn't work

If it is Carrier tstat. Some have resets other dont. Kill power to insid unit. WAit five minutes turn back on. If it has batteries take them out. But the storm may have damaged the tstat. I had a thunderstorm damage 11 tstats in one building. You can buy a tsta at Home depot that will work and they are easy to wire. Just make sure you get the coorect tstat. If the unit is straight cool electric thats the easy one. A heat pump you need a Tsta with two stage heat one stage cool. You can pick one up for about 25 to 30 dollars. Please call back for more help be glad to assist.Rusty
