You have what they call a" Through Bolt" motor. The bolts are located on the back of the motor and run the length of the motor. I believe they are a 5/16 bolt. Just a note..Price a whole pump vs a motor, seals and possibly a impeller first.Sometimes it is cheaper and you get all new parts.

How do I break down pool motor aol 1-1/2 hp

It depends which pump you have, on hayward super II you shut off the breaker, remove the rear motor cover, disconnect the electrical wires, then remove the 4 (9/16")bolts holding the motor to the "wet end" which is where the basket is. Now, pop off the diffuser, sometimes it stays in the wet end when you remove the motor. At the rear of the motor, use a 12mm wrench to hold the shaft, then unscrew the impeller (counter-clockwise) after removing the impeller, theres another plastic plate that lifts off, remove the plate, now there are 4 (9/16")bolts to remove in order to separate the motor from the seal plate. You have now broken down the pump. If you replace the motor, make sure to get a new seal as well (ps201)

Sorry, but I've never heard of a contitwister wet/dry vac. If you can give me a better name and model I might be able to help, but I'm afraid the one you've listed is not valid.

I have taken out the motor and it does not turn freely , how do you strip down the j-end

To remove the wet end off the motor of a bath pump:
  1. Remove the screws or bolts from the face plate
  2. Unthread the impeller off the shaft of the motor counter clockwise
  3. Remove the 4 bolts that go all the way through the motor into the wet end.
To install the new wet end reverse that process.

Remove a wet end from a aquaflo xp2 spa pump motor how do I do this

There are 4 bolts that go all the way through the motor and thread into the wet end.
The first place to start it to remove the face plate of the wet end exposing the impeller.
The impeller is threaded onto the shaft of the motor.
Take a big flat head screw driver and put it onto the end of the shaft of the motor and hold it tightly so you can unthread the impeller off the shaft of the motor.
Unthread those four bolts that go all the way through the motor.
You are done at this point.

How to remove impeller seal

Remove v-clamp from wet end.
Remove diffuser from wet-end using a flat blade screwdriver.
Remove impeller screw by turning clock-wise(this is a reverse threaded screw (some impellers dont have an impeller screw))
Remove back end of motor using a 1/4" hex driver.
Secure rear end of motor shaft by slipping a 7/16" open face wrench into rear electrical compartment
While securing the shaft, turn the impeller counter clockwise until its off.
Remove seal halfs and replace with identical seal.
Reverse to finish the install

How to replace power cord

remove the bolts that the hold two ends on . mark houseing, scratch one end with a x from end cap to houseing. then the other end with a stright line from end cap to motor houseing so it all stay the way it came apart. ok.remove the end that was the cord or get to it . cut wires long but not to long there is no room in the motor for it. you will need a good pair of crimping plires and rigth size crimps connectors. and some rubber tape or srink tube to cover repaired lines in motor. some motors have bolt /screw to connect to it. make a drawing of the wires on the motor before removing. after repairis made with volt /ohm meter, set to the lowset ohms setting. check each line to see if it connected right. make sure it looks like your drawing .line up ends with reference mark install bolts tight but not too tight. good luck

Sewng machine motor housing

DISASSEMBLY TO INSPECT OR CHANGE BERNINA 830 MOTOR BRUSHES:

Remove the big plastic cover piece on the bottom of the machine with the single screw in the center.

Remove the machine's end panel by removing the single silver screw from underneath the bottom middle of the side panel. Pull the bottom of the side panel out and down to remove it. It comes off easily.

Remove the two screws under the motor assembly (silver screws with black washers).

Swivel the motor assembly enough to remove the belt.
There is a another plastic panel on the motor assembly over the motor itself. Remove the two phillips head screws to remove this panel.

At this point you can see the commutator and inspect the "business" ends of the brushes. (In our case, one brush was almost gone and there was nothing left of the second brush except the spring!)

You can then slide the motor out of the housing. I pushed on the motor pulley and pulled on the other end of the motor with pliers. The motor comes out rather easily, but be careful not to disturb the wires any more than necessary.

With the motor exposed, unscrew the caps over the brushes and remove the brushes.

Our motor's commutator looks significantly worn and the motor may need to be replaced. If you find a source for the brushes or a replacment motor, please let me know! Thanks, John john@jldnet.com
