Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI01FLSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

The problem started with it not draining correctly and leaving water in the bottom - my husband took it apart and found a bolt in the drain. He removed it and now it won't start. It appears to not have power to the electrical panel- we have reset the breaker several times - left the breaker off for 10 minutes thinking it might erase the memory - I've asked for instructions to reset and I keep getting info that is very far removed from this model. I know it has a protocol because a repair man came in before and reset it. My buttons are as follows from left to right Heavy - normal - light - rinse only - options - hi temp scrub - energy savery dry - 4 hour delay - start - cancel. any suggestions.

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. The reset on your dishwasher is as follows, ( I can't locate your particular model number...but its madw be whirlpool so there are only a couple of possible sequences ) however depending on the error which caused the reason for wanting to reset it, it may be futile and the error will return. Depending on what was done trying to service the unit. On the control panel push these buttons in a back and forth sequence within 3-5 seconds. With the unit in the "off" status ( no lights on ) Hi temp scrub - energy save dry ( air dry ) Hi temp scrub - energy save dry Hi temp scrub - energy save dry Close the door if not already closed, all the "leds" should light and it will advance through an abbreviated test cycle. Allow it to complete and you should be good to go. There is also an extended service diagnostic which can entered that requires approx. 20 mins. to complete. Let me know how you make out with this one and we`ll move forward if necessary. Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck. Regards, Macmarkus :)

I am having the same problem, I did the reset and it turned all the lights on and it went through the test cycle, yet after that, the machine still would not start. My cycles all light up but the start button will not start. Do i need to run the advance cycle? What is the advance cycle code?
    Thanks

My VW GTI has an interior water leak. Can't find it, but the rear passenger side is full of water?

Two areas to check. The sunroof has several drains that can clog. Open the sunroof and look in the four corners. You will see small holes. Try flushing water down each one with like a cooking baster or spray bottle. If that won't clear a clog use a long wire but with a rounded end. You could cut rubber parts if the end was sharp. The second area is in the door panel area. Each door should have drains in the bottom. If they are clogged it will overflow into the interior. Also if that door has been serviced and the moisture barrier was not reinstalled correctly you will get some water leaking inside.

My whirlpool duet leaves standing water or it will flood the floor.

the drain pump motor went bad on mine. ( i think the motor worked fine, the impeller which is plastic was stripped where the motor shaft goes into the impeller) i bought a new pump for about a hundred dollars and installed myself. if you are the least bit handy, you can too. it's a bolt-on fix.however, like moyerboy says, make sure that there are no blockages from the bottom of the drum to the drain pipe. i once found a sock stuck in the pipe.

Glasses not coming out clean on top rack

I took the bottom apart and found that the drain had alot of debris, it would drain but there was always some residue in the clean water. The bottom rack came out and I took the one washing arm out and the cover over the screen, problem solved.

LG Tromm WM2277HW during high speed spin makes noise

I had exactly the same symptom...grinding noise only during high speed spin cycle.

I took the top and back panels off to see how the drain hoses etc. connected. Not wanting to take it apart further, I eventually just took the washing machine outside (I knew I was going to be dealing with water!), pulled the debris catcher front side bottom, and let rip with a garden hose inside the drum with the catcher out (leaving an open drain that could flow unimpeded).

Water flowed quickly out of the open drain, and lo and behold, a small drill bit came out with the water flow. This bit, presumably had gotten through the drum grating, and was resting on the bottom of the housing, scraping and grinding when the drum was spinning.

Model WBVH5200JOWW: Locked up. Unplugged waited,

we had the same problem. I found a site that talked about the drain pump so my husband took the front panel off and found the drain plug. Have a bucket and some towels handy, unscrew the drain plug, ours is right there when take the cover off and its white. Unscrew it slowly, water will most likely start draining. Our drain trap was completely full of lint, a necklace, coins, and stuff! Once we cleaned it out, plugged it back in, it reset itself and works like a charm. Good Luck

Kenmore 22062 will not cycle correctly

Problem fixed. I took apart the bottom of the washer to access the pump, and found that there was underwire from bras stuck in the discharge tube blocking the water from exiting the washer and that was causing the cycle problem. I guess that the washer knew that there was too much water in the tub and kept trying to expel it.

Indecit dishwasher not circulating water

Checked that the motor was not seized by inserting slotted screwdriver through hole at back of machine to engage in slotted end of motor to spin up water circulating motor. Motor was not seized, so that was not the problem. Then took bottom off machine and on inspection found that the start capacitor which is bolted to side of motor was bulging and discoloured wher the terminals are. Replaced Start capacitor ( Less than £10.00) and machine motor started up. Machine behaved irratically at first, flashing lights etc.but got it to reset by switching on and off a couple of times, ran machine through cycle, now working ok.
