Question about Sony Video Game Consoles & Games
Are you trying to reset signal back to a/v jacks??? If so, with system in standby mode...hold power button until you hear 2 beeps...It may shut back off afterwards...Just power it back on and you should have sound and picture through a/v's.

Hey bro try going down to circuit city, best buy and get the HDMI cord that converts to a Component cable on the opposite end. You can do this as long as the back of the non H/D tv has the Component Inputs on the back of the TV. If that does not work get the HDMI cable that converts on the opposite end to a S Video signal and connect that end to the S Video input on the back of your tv. I have seen these cables at circuit city in the playstation section. Again on one end of the cable it has your HDMI input to connect to your ps3 and on the opposite end of the cable it has the S video plug to run to the back of your tv and plug it into the S Video input. Same thing can be said for the HDMI on one end of the cable and the Component cables on the opposite end to run to the back of your tv. This will work if you find those cables. Good Luck.

When its hooked up to the tv it works on, did you go into the display menu, and switch the settings to A/V mode or whichever your tv is? when you do that the screen on the HD tv will go blank, but then it should show up on the regular tv.
i read this on the playstation site, hope it helps

Hi there, what you need to do is reset the display. Follow these steps :
Step 1 Turn the PS3 off into standby mode (red light on)
Step 2 Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep.
Step 3 Wait for the PS3 display to reset.
You should now be able to get a picture from your PS3 in standard definition
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa
