SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: JCR-160 clock radio Clock running slow

The clock works off the frequency (hertz). In US the electrical wave frequency is 60HZ/sec and in India and many other countries 50HZ/sec. Hence, the clock slows down about 6 seconds or so every minute.

Here is a link to the specs for that trnsformer. It looks like there is only the switches for each circuit. Dumb question Are the load switches turned on?

This is all the info I could find on it for you. I hope this will help.

SOURCE: Blown Transformer heat pump

blown transformers are usually from a low voltage short the first thing i would do is wire a automotive or resetable 3amp fuse in line with the transformer so you dont blow transformer after transformer the wire coming off the transformer that say 24v take that wire a couple of inches down and cut it and install the fuse in series there
24v----------------
24v----------x----------
24v--------{3ampfuse}----------

now you can go through your low voltage wires one by one and test them unhook all the wires to your outdoor condenser at your indoor unit(furnace or airhandler) and try turning it to cool now if you blow the fuse the short is between the tstat and the indoor unit if the fuse is still good leave it on cool and hook up one wire at a time to your outdoor unit starting with R a lot of times your contactor or your defrost board will short out on you also look for pinches in wires wires with cracks in the insulation and wires touching metal this situation can be a real pain sometimes i would recommend calling a hvac company if you start to get stumped
hope this will help you

I install a new limit switch and now something keep burning out the transformer i replace it also and something keep burning it out what the problem could be

All transformer comes with a current limit specification in terms of VA units. For example a 24 v secondary coil with 6 VA specification only can hold a current of of 4 amps for a short period of time. So to prevent that it burned out you only pass an 80% of that current, then it really can hold 3.2 amps continuously.
Other possibles causes for burning the transformer are:
1. Accidentally connecting the primary and secondary reversed, the secondary can not manage the voltage and current of the primary .
2. A coil or device that is connected to the secondary is demanding to much current because is shorted or stuck in a position causing an increase on current.
3. The primary have multiple taps to operate on different voltages and the combination is wrong.
3. Faulty wiring. Some times the insulation of the wires became worm, cracked or melted, with the wires torches the metal a short is produced and the transformer burns. Check the wires carefully.

Hope these tips help,.

How to measure Voltage in Transforme for Fitness Treadmill

Transformer Test Procedure:1). Make sure that transformer wire connections (CON1) to the drive board are secured. Turn unit on.2). Put multimeter to the AC voltage setting. Insert meter probes into the transformer primary (red)wires as shown. Normal reading: 110V. This shows that there is power to the transformer.3). Test transformer output by probing on secondary (output) wires: black and black, white and white, orange and orange, yellow and yellow

Transformer Test Results :1). If there is no voltage across the primary (red) wires, inspect F1 fuse on the drive board and power to the drive board. 2). If there is voltage across primary wires but none across secondary wires, the transformer is bad.Replace it.

Transformer Wire Colors Normal Voltage Value:
Red and Red 110 VAC.
Black and Black 11-13 VAC
White and White 11-13 VAC
Orange and Orange 27-29 VAC
Yellow and Yellow 10-12 VAC

30 kw not putting any voltage or amps out

I assume the engine is running, but just not getting output. make sure everything is off and locked out first. there are primary fuses before the transformer to check. there may or may not be secondary fuses after the x-fmr as well.

Schematic malibu 8100-9120-01

I don't think they post schematic for the transformer
But generally, the primary coil receives 120Volt AC input from household electrical outlet
And the secondary coil produces 12Volt AC output for the low voltage lights.
The 'coil' is a coil of insulated wire wrapped around a metal core. Two coils set side by side create a transformer... when primary is energized, the secondary responds to the magnetic field caused by primary core... resulting in a current that flows on the secondary coil.
Output voltage on secondary coil is determined by the number of wraps and diameter of wire.

Some transformers offer a choice of secondary output... Kichler for example... you can select 12-13-14-15 Volt AC output
This is achieved by the way the secondary coil is wrapped.... for less voltage a wire is tapped at one point on the coil... for more voltage, a wire is tapped at another point on coil. This gives the user several wire choices to connect the lights.

How to identify the matching transformer terminal by means of terminal resistance? and which terminals is for input or output?

Doing a resistance test on a transformer will not give the information you require as you will read very little, if any resistance. What you need to do is an impedance check and that gets involved. If it is a normally wound transformer, not an auto transformer, you can isolate which is the primary and the secondary windings. Unless the transformer is a multi voltage input unit, the primary side will have continuity through only two terminals. The secondary could be more than two if it is a multi output voltage one. If the transformer is a step down, the primary windings will be the thinner wired windings and vice-versa. To actually test the transformer, get hold of a transformer with about a 20 vac output and try it across the two terminals you have identified as the primary windings, you should ge a proportional voltage of the actual output. eg. with 20 vac input and a 2 vac reading at the secondary, the actual output would be 11 vac if your mains voltage is 110 volts. Take care that you are using the transformer at the voltage it is designed for, otherwise it will overheat and burn out.
