U check the settings. it might have been set to "intro" settings. select normal play option.
unless otherwise ur mp4 player has weak battery.

I HAD A VISUAL LAND MP3 PLAYER. ONLY PLAYED FIRST 10 SECONDS OF SONG. IT IS SET TO INTRO. WHILE THE SONG IS PLAYING PUSH THE BUTTONS AND YOU WILL SEE THE OPTIONS COME UP. SONG HAS TO BE PLAYING. CHANGE FROM INTRO.

Th esongs you have synced on to the player are not the right format for your device, or (even more likely), they have a restrictive DRM license that allows playback on a computer, but not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.
