After Carb Kit install the engine will only run at Idle any opening of the throttle the Engine dies. It requires a pump of the bulb to get it to start. the Carb is WT2682A-19 on a BL150 Bolen Weed Eater

You need to readjust your idle/full speed jets...
Sounds like the high speed jet is set too low readjust while running

Good job.
A couple more things:
  • Replace fuel filter, it's in the gas tank
  • Check and clean the Spark Arrestor screen at muffler, when they plug up, it's a major restriction to exhaust gas flow
  • And check and adjust High/Low screws at carburetor, video attached.
  • And clean or install rebuild kit for carburetor

When i come to a stop the car wants to die unless u keep ur foot on the gas

Hi Wendi:
If the engine runs fine except when you don't have your foot on the gas, maybe the idle stop needs to be adjusted. With the engine off, have someone step on the gas pedal while you look at the linkage at the carb. There should be a plate with a screw in it that keeps the butterfly valve from closing completely. This can be adjusted with the engine running. (SAFETY FIRST - MOVING PARTS CAN BITE)
If the engine will only run at not nice too high RPM, chances are that the idle jet in the carb is plugged, and a carb cleaning and possibly overhaul may be needed.

I have a 2 cycle Troy-Bilt TB90BC line trimmer. Won't idle. I've had the carburetor dipped, installed a new carb kit, replace the gas lines, but will only run at full speeds. Dies out easily....

One of three things is occuring here. The IDLE SPEED SCREW (Phillips head) on the throttle plate is screwed in way too far. The L and H mixture screws are open way too much allowing the carb to use excessive fuel, even on startup. Those 2 screws may need adjusting. The metering lever in your carb is not adjusted flush with the carb body flange and is holding the gas needle open constantly. Check these things and post back.

Could be one or both of two things.

1. The accelerator pump in the carb is clogged, the linkage is unhooked, or the diaphram in the pump is bad. It's cheap to replace and comes in the carb rebuild kit. This usually just causes hesitation when you step on the gas pedal. It doesn't usually cause the engine to stop running.

2. More likely is that the main jet in the carb is clogged. At idle, high vacuum under the closed throttle plate in the carb causes fuel to flow thru the idle jet. As the throttle plate opens (as you step on the pedal), the vacuum under the plate dissipates, stopping the flow of fuel thru the idle jet, and the vacuum ABOVE the throttle plate increases, which is supposed to then draw fuel from the carb bowl thru the main jet in the carb. If the main jet is clogged with dirt, then it can idle just fine and die as soon as you step on the pedal.

I have a craftsman 32cc weedeater and i have replaced all the lines and filters cleaned carb. it will start but after about a min r if u pull throttle it dies what will cause this problem

The motor dies because it is "going Lean" at that point and not receiving the influx of fuel it needs to throttle up. A couple of elementary things cause this. 1. The fuel pump diaphragm inside the carburetor is not functioning properly due to losing its flexibility. 2. The carburetor L mixture screw needs adjusting.When you open that throttle you are telling the carb, OK. playtimes over, let's go. The carb is supposed to respond with fuel from the L (idle) circuit and the H (high speed circuit) mixture areas. It dies "lean" because the fuel from the carb isn't getting to the main jet or it is insufficient quantity, because the L speed circuit is NOT contributing enough fuel
So adjust the L screw (one closest to the engine) on the carb OUT 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn. Unconventional heads on thes carbs require special tools or a little ingenuity to get ahold of them.
You may need to install a basic gasket and diaphragm kit in the carb to restore the functionality of the fuel pump and the fuel control system. Here is a carb adjustment tutorial.

My 1984 yamaha excel 3 when I start the sled it will run as long asiyou give it more fuel but when you let it idle it dies out it seems to be starving itself of it fuel. Could this be the diafram in the...

possibly, most likely it is either the pilot jet is plugged, requiring carb removal and cleaning, or try bypassing the throttle cutout switch, its two bullet connectors coming off the carb, just unplug them and plug the engine side together, just be sure to flip your throttle before starting ensure it is not frozen wide open, or its just an idle screw adjustment,it's a knob on the carb.

Low and idle speed engine dies name is Keith..and for some reason they put your question under lawn tractors..but i know motorcycles..and a Honda XR 250 is a your problem..if your engine has run fine before..then you dont need to make any carb adjustments..but...if it hasnt then it could be the carb slide needs to be adjusted up or down to make it richer or leaner..but if it has ran properly..then i would suspect you need to install an accelerator pump kit in it..but you can check this by taking your air filter connection off and look in the back of the carb and have someone to operated the throttle quickly..and see if it sprays a stream of fuel into the throat of the carb(if it need a kit)...or the float is set at the incorrect height. or the float needle and seat needs replacing..but it is a carb problem...i hope this has helped..if not...write me back

Honda 1300c backfire through carb at wide open throttle. I have open up the exhust and rejetted the carb . the bike will run fine up to mid throttle or 65 mph but if you accellerate hard or go to wide open...

Try balancing ans syncronising the carbs.
Turn the throttle screw on the LEFT carb one half turn inward. Now start the engine and get it warmed up. With the engine running, remove the RIGHT spark plug wire. Adjust the idle speed on the left carb to the point where the engine just can't quite stay running and dies. Now put the loose spark plug wire back into place.

Now turn the throttle screw on the RIGHT carb one half turn inward. Restart and rev the engine. Next, remove the LEFT spark plug wire. Adjust the idle speed on the right carb to the point where the engine just can't quite stay running and dies. Now put the loose spark plug wire back into place.

Turn the idle screw on each carb EXACTLY ONE QUARTER turn outward and restart the engine. The engine will be probably be idling very fast. Adjust both the idle screws equally from this point to get to the desired idle speed.

Remove the air filter and rubber fittings to allow you to see into the throat of both carbs. You may need a mirror to see inside. You need to be able to see the slides go up and down when you twist the throttle. Now turn the fitting where the cable goes into each carb such that there is just a bit of slack in the cable, 1/16" is plenty. Lock ONE of the cable adjusters down tight. All further adjustments will be made on the other carb.

With the motor turned off twist the throttle very slowly while looking at the slides. Both slides need to begin lifting at the exact same moment. If the slides don't raise at the exact same time then slowly twist the throttle until the locked adjuster slide just barely starts to move. Hold the throttle still and turn the adjuster on the other carb so that the slide on that carb just barely starts to move also. Now recheck the slide movement timing. Do this process until the slides on both carbs begin to raise at the EXACT same moment. Lock down the loose adjuster and re-check the slides.
