Brothers MFC240 I have windows visa and I am trying to install the printer Brother MFC 240 to my laptop. I went to the brothers website and download the printer. After it is download it ask me if I want to open the file. When I do click ok it goes to zip decompression. Dont know what to do afterwards.

1. open your case and remove the cartridge from your printer and clean your cartridge area.
2. now you need to clean paper rolloer area.

You want to be specific i your search: "free software Brothers [model type]" and make sure you select the Brothers official website and not one that wants to sell you the software. I just searched. You need to get the uninstaller from Brother and then re-install most upto date software downloded from Brothers Website. I too had trouble with the software
