Water spilled in laptop and it won't come on at all , is there any hope for it

My little boy poured a large amount of water in my laptop is there any hope for it to be repaired?

You can try to open it and clean the corroded parts on the logic board with a brush and alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. If that doesn't help, there are logic boards available on ebay and guides that will show you how to open your ipod replace the logic board. I work for a Laptop repair shop in NYC and deal with this scenario frequently.

i think all u need to do is lose it clean the mother boead with menthylated spirit dry it on the sun and then couple it back thats all it should work well iv done a great deal that way. if u cannot do it yrself then take it to a technician near yu. theres hope for yr notebook so dont beat the child ok.

If it didn't blow sparks and it was just water, remove the battery and put it in a nice warm and dry place to dry out completely and then cross your fingers. There is not really anything inside a laptop computer that water just by itself will damage, but if it was on and the water shorted something out you could have problems. If after letting it dry out it won't come on, it can always be sent back to the manufacturer or taken to a local authorized rep and be fixed. Good luck and be thankful it was not juice or soda.....
