Try control panel,keyboard hardware troublesoot or properties there you can select general to troubleshoot,driver roll back uninstall ,update driver or control panel administrive tools computer managent device manager scroll to keyboard you could see a yellow question mark? right click to install drivers or blow all of the dust out of your keyboard making sure there is no moisture in the airlines dust causes static which can affect all of a computers parts

Tips for a great answer:
The keyboard takes a lot of abuse and as durable as it is, they will eventually wear out. It is a very inexpensive part to replace and does not require a lot of skill. The fact that the touch pad is acting up could indicate that they are interconnected. I would replace both. The Touch pad is a more involved part to replace and I would suggest you get some help or pay to have it replaced.
You can order them off of sites like eBay, then watch a YouTube video on how to do it.
