My PE150 will sew about 1/2 way through a name and then stops picking up the bobbin thread. I have rethreaded, changed needles. and made sure that the machine is clean. Can you give me a suggestion on how to fix this problem? the name that I am working on is "Conner" Thank you for your time.

That is a very strange problem... is there a way you can do a test of another name with equal characters... even better a test of the same letters in different order, for example Corenn and see if it stops half way or if it is a letter related issue? Obviously on some scrap piece you hopefully have... not on the same piece

Thanks
Tim

Ok it's definitely getting worse here.. something is malfunctioning with the actual controller module inside the machine. Your best bet unfortunately is going to be to have this machine serviced. Do you know of any local places that can service it? If not I can find the contact information for who need to get ahold of here..

Machine saying to rethread the upper thread but not picking up bottom thread from bobbin. Constantly rethreaded upper thread still won't sew.

Consult the owner's manual to make sure it is threaded correctly. Install a brand new needle making sure it is installed properly. Also, be sure to RAISE the presser foot BEFORE threading the upper thread.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, the machine may be out of time.

Will not sew, looks like its sewing but can pull right out. have changed needle, rethread, checked tension, not changed bobbin tention got any ideas

the needle thread is not picking up the bobbin thread
could be a case of needle /hook timing, not pulling the bobbin thread down the slot in the bobbin case to under the spring
Take it to a sewing machine repair shop for a service

Why won't it pick up bobbin thread

Try changing the needle--make sure the needle is inserted correctly
Try rethreading the machine top and bobbin
Make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way In the bobbin case
It's possible that the machine needs to be checked for a timing problem

Needle goes down but don't pick up the bobbin thread. It come up and tell me that my upper or lower thread is cut.

try changing the needle
try rethreading the machine top and bobbin
make sure to use every thread guide-this is improtant for the
thread tension
make sure the bobbin is turned correctly in the bobbin case
also could be a problem with the computer motherboard
or there could be a problem with the timing

Threading the bobbin thread

try rethreading the machine top and bobbin--make sure to use every
thread guide
try changing the needle--make sure the needle is turned the right way
and inserted correctly into the needle holder
make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case
and if the machine still will not pick up the bobbin thread it would be a
good idea to have the machine checked to see if the timing is ok.

Needle is not picking up thread from bobbin it was working fine and just stopped sewing then I noticed the bobbin thread was not being picked up .

Check your needle, it may need to be changed (make sure you insert it flat side away from you), now totally rethread, Another thing, is your thread old, tangled? If, all of this does not fix it, take it in for professional service.

Brother pe150 won't pick up bobbin thread

Hi. This may sound silly, but the most likely reason the upper thread doesn't pick up the bobbin thread is that the needle is in backwards. (Sounds silly, but it's true!)

Needle shanks have a flat side and that flat side has to go in a particular way for your machine. With most modern machines, the flat side goes to the rear, facing away from you. Check your manual to be sure.

The second most likely reason is that your needle may be bent. Check that your needle is straight (or just use a new one).

Hope this helps!

Happy Sewing,

Robbie
