I have been through 4 Dashes and have tried everything but I still have the following problems ever since I upgraded to WM6
-my home screen goes back to a default look every time i power it off and on again
-my battery dies in a few hours and i carry a second one with me to help
-my email does not consistently update every 5 minutes though that is what i have set it to

you are having one of the following problems: 1.YOUR battery may be the problem OR 2.you have some internal hardware problem 3.TRy updating or upgrading it 4.you might be facing a trozan or malware attack, try out a antivirus, if unable to remove format it then instal one soon after your format
It seems software problem.Try again reseting the device like that
You can reset your device’s settings and clear all added data from memory. Resetting the device 1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key. 2. Select Settings → More... → Security → More... → Reset. 3. Enter the reset password and press the Done soft key. The default password is “0000.” 4. Press the Yes soft key to confirm the reset. 5. Press the Yes soft key to confirm deleting DRM files. The device resets and reboots itself.
Hello, These methods have been confirmed on my phone with both T-Mobile's ROM and Excalibur (S620 original ROM)
Turn the hand-held
off, hold the two soft keys (the dashes to the left and right of the phone buttons)
hold the power button for 1-2 seconds and then release the soft keys. It should
prompt you to clear storage. The “send” button is considered as the
green phone button.

you have to double check your battery. i have a p50 and sometimes it does that. the problem is with the battery. if the battery doesn't charge, the orange light will remain as is. you might want to do the following steps.
1. remove the charger from your unit. 2. remove the battery and put it back it again after 10 seconds. 3. be sure to put the battery lock on its proper position 4. try to turn on the unit using the power button on. 5. reset the unit in it's reset button on the bottom.
if these five steps don't work, you have a dead battery.
