Question about Fujitsu Plasmavision 42" TV

2 Answers

Has anyone seen this problem in a Fujitsu PDS 4203W-H 42" Plasma Display monitor, circa 1999: vertical and horizontal hold issues and split colors overlaying the display image. Anyone know how to fix it? or know what causes it? Thanks.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems to be an issue with Y board however, Z and the logic board should also be checked. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you'll have to open the back of the unit. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Fujitsu Plasma Screen won't power up

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.

See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below
http://tomtom2k5.free.fr/fujitsu/PDP-0035-06.pdf

A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu 'service@fujitsugeneral.com'
