This is an LCD tv and doesn't have a picture tube. If the panel is broken it cannot be repaired as the panel is not available for replacement. Must contact manufacturer for possible exchange.

How much does picture tube for 42 inch flat screen Sanyo TV cost

There is no picture tube in a modern flat screen TV.
And unless it's physically broken, it's usually something else that has failed and not the screen.
A picture tube is a CRT (cathode ray tube) that sends electrons from the back to the front to light up different color phosphorous dots.
A modern flat screen TV on the other hand is LCD (liquid crystal display) that turns on and off to allow backlighting through multi colored filters. (LED TV also uses a LCD screen, the only difference is the backlighting is LED and not fluorescent lamps.)

Picture tube for sanyo flat screen tv

You've got the BRAND, now we need the MODEL and NUMBER!
And maybe an actual question would be nice!
There are a few "flat" tube TV's but very few that were made several years ago. The vast majority of flat screen TV's don't have a picture tube.
If the screen is physically broken on your flat screen TV it's probably not worth the cost of having it fixed. If it's not physically broken, something else might be wrong.

Picture is getting dark.

Try changing the lamp, some times as they age the electrodes in the arc lamp evaporate and depositing inside the arc tube, causing it to darken, if the lamp is clear there is a good change that the light tunnel is broken or has other problems with the light engine

Picture is not very clear and the color is faded and can not adjust it

This mite sound crazy but it is time to change the oil in your TV. Yes your TV has three seperate picture tubes on the inside of it. A red tube, blue tube, and green tube. Each one of thses tubes has a clear oil that the light shines through. Over time this oil gets cloudy and distorts the light thus dimming and fadeing your picture please have a tech change the oil in your tubes.

I have a Samsung rear projection tv, the picture is faded and the colors are not crisp or clean cannot watch it like this what do you think the problem is?

If this is a CRT-type rear-projection TV, the CRT coolant fluid is probably broken down. It's supposed to be clear, but after a long period of TV operation, it turns a yellow-brown color. If you unplug the TV and remove the back, you can look into the tops of the three picture tubes. They should be a clear red, green or blue color, with no yellow-brown tint.

CRT coolant can be changed, but you need to be very good at mechanical work to do it. Besides the safety considerations (picture tubes and other parts may carry a high voltage charge even when the set is unplugged), spilling broken-down coolant on electronics is usually disastrous, so you have to be very careful.

LCD panels used in projector applications may lose contrast if they are overheated (this can be caused by failure to keep the vents clean as recommended in the owner's manual).

You would have to provide your set's model number to get more specific information.

Picture dark...can barely make out people hitachi 57gwxz20b

Did this happen suddenly, or has the picture been dimming gradually?

If it was a sudden onset, I would first suspect the high voltage terminal/focus divider block. The focus divider in many sets also produces the "screen" voltage, which has an effect on the brightness of the picture. Often focus dividers will crack when they fail, so you may be able to spot a problem with this part by visual inspection. Other possibilities include an incorrect (failing) supply voltage to the picture tube boards (G1, G2, or driver transistor power).

Gradual dimming (other than problems with degrading components in the power supply):
Do you have a smoker in the house? The tar in tobacco smoke is attracted to the high voltage on picture tubes. You may need to clean off all of the optical components. I have found that window cleaner sprayed on a soft paper towel works for this. Do not spray the cleaner inside the set, and don't make the towel dripping wet with the cleaner! You risk serious damage to the electronics if you do. Avoid scrubbing - you don't want to scratch anything or push it out of alignment. Just keep wiping gently and let the window cleaner do its work. If tar buildup is the problem and it is as far gone as you describe, you will probably use up quite a few towels and a sizable fraction of the window cleaner bottle before all three picture tubes are clean. Don't do more than dust off the sides of the tubes - it's the face that needs cleaning, and window cleaner is bad news

Another possibility is broken-down CRT cooling fluid. (This is low probability - you would probably have noticed the colors going to an ugly yellowish brown long before it went dim.) When you look at the top of the three picture tubes, you should be able to see that they are red, green or blue. If the colors are quite dark, dull or muddy-looking, the CRT coolant has gone bad. It is possible to change it, but be warned that you must not let any drip into the electronics. Broken-down coolant can conduct high-voltage electricity, and the results are disastrous - I've seen a power supply board ruined by the stuff.

Hi is it a glass tube or a LCD/Plasma? If its a glass tube CRT the frame circuit has broken and may need the frame chip changing that means that the set Will have to be open from the back and the part/s removed and new ones soldered in

My Sony FD Trinitron Wega has no red color on the screen. All the usual adjustments don't help. No other TV in the house is doing this. Is the picture tube dying? Is it worth fixing?

Its technical document of any product for techs only and usually does not come with product. You can download copy from HERE for small fee. It calls Service Manual.
Below is an image of that service manual.

ACER ASPIRE LCD TROUBLE!!

If the screen appears dark with only a faint image or picture and the brightness can't be adjusted then it is likely that the screen backlight is not on - the backlight is like a very thin flourescent tube that runs along the bottom of the screen and provides the illumination. The backlight tube may be faulty or the small electronic inverter unit that powers the backlight tube may have failed. Occasionally the backlight is off because the little switch that is used to detect the screen lid being closed is broken or stuck in. If your backlight is faulty, some engineers will replace it - but it is more common that the entire screen is changed. If it is the inverter they can usually be replaced from ebay.
