Question about Sony DCR-HC18E Mini DV Digital Camcorder

Hello...i m using a sony DCR-HC48E....from 2 yaers....very good condition still...not much used even.... Oneday i just ejected its cassete in a proper manner...and than afterwards i was no way able to insert the new cassete...i dont know why????......i am inserting it in a proper way...but the machine is not accpting it....neither the case which hold cassete i going down......all other functions are i cant record videos....untilll the cassete is inserted.....even the battery is fully charged.......pls help me...immediately????

The camcorder casset is stuck in the eject position. reset does nothing for the problem.

for tape loading issues,do a power reset procedure. make sure ac adapter is not connected.set cam to off position.remove the battery and leave the camera without power for at least a minute.use the ac adapter and turn cam on.see if this resolves it.if not...service is required.

My Sony Handycam DCR-HC30E mini DV is not working

In many cases I found DC Jack defective in this model and resulted does not charge battery through ac charger nor power up directly with ac charger.
I would suggest to check ac charger and battery on similar model Sony camcorder and I think your camcorder has DC jack problem thats why camera is not getting power from ac charger.

This error means that the heads are not turning. This unit requires service. This is not a homeowner repair.

I have always used DVM60 casset

If u look in ur manual it tells u that its a self-diagnosis code!
Step 1: eject the casset and then put it back in record something
step 2:disconnect the power cord of the AC adapror or remove the battery.
step 3: reconect the power or battry and record
step 4: Replace the casset!

there a short line to the carbon wire of the function switch.....unfold the wire to loose the fold....and clean the contact of the wire using a pencil eraser slowly
