Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
The chip in the new cartridges isn't recognized because either the connecting pins from the carriage don't make full contact - you will have to clean and check their condition - or the processor of the printer is stuck in a loop. In that case the only thing you can do is to reset it - take out the cartridges and start the printer; wait 1 minute and shut it down; put the cartridges back and start it again. If this doesn't fix it then the processor is defective - the printer is fixable, but it will be cheaper just to get a new one.
