Check all the power connections again, and the power supply for fault.

It may be there is nothing wrong with your motherboard. Often time, on-board graphics will be disabled with a discrete graphic card is installed. Check your motherboard manual to see if this is the case. You may also be able to find a setting in your system BIOS that allows you to enable the on-board graphics even if a discrete graphics card is installed.

Try also to reset the bios, by removing the cmos battery, and insert it again.

You can also try to add a graphic card, on the mainboard, in the blue PCI Express x16 slot.

Just make sure you have the driver, for your windows system.

hello there i am also using a intel Core 2 duo that i have over clocked to 3.3GHz reason i am bring that up is i had to mod the mother board i would say lets start there if you need help with modding the Gigabyte let me know. as its going to be a long email =)

Go To Gigabytes Website Support Sectiona and put your model number of your motherboard in and it brings up the drivers - find the right one , download and install! Easy!

If you dont know your model number , its printed on the board itself
or use software such as everest home edition (free) or belarc advisor (also free)

Hi, Unfortunately no AGP slot nor PCI-E. The Gigabyte GA-8I845GV motherboard has only 3 Expansion Slots and all of the are PCI (33MHz & PCI 2.2 compliantt). From their website, here's an image of the motherboard http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/FileList/Image/motherboard_productimage_ga-8i845gv_big.jpg It has a built-in Intel® Extreme Graphics Engine (845GV chipset) for video with max of 128 mb shared memory. Should you wish to install an add-on 3rd party PCI video card, Inno3D FX5500 256ddr PCI slot tv-dvi are still available (at least in my location) for an equivalent of about 3.5K INR (80USD+). Gigabyte did not put a special graphics slot (AGP, PCIe etc) on this corporate series board. It has good internal graphics support. If you would like to run two monitors, it appears that one choice is the CHAINTECH P-FX20 256MB Geforce FX5200 256MB 128-bit DDR PCI Video Card, based upon user reviews at NewEgg. You may need help getting both graphics adapters to operate together. Typically, there is a jumper on the card that disables "Primary VGA" mode. Your OS should boot using the on-board adapter and then you can tell the OS that it should "Extend the Desktop" to the second (PCI) adapter. Your results may vary.
