Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12 Digital Camera
This is a problem that needs factory attention. Recommend you remove the batteries, pack it up and send it to Panasonic for repair. It is remotely possible that removing the batteries and reinstalling them will kill the motor (the noise) and let the camera reset to an OFF condition. But, I wouldn't expect that to happen. And if it does happen to fix the problem. I would watch it very carefully, especially if the camera is under warranty and can be fixed for free.
