Very disappointed with your response. If the rating you provided for me is that low, an explanation would have been appreciated.

When do you start brushing a british longhair cat

I would wait until you are at least 15 years old. Before that you may not really understand what brushing a british longhair cat is all about.

Bell Howell 7650TMO Sunlight Floor Lamp....I need to replace the plug...does it matter which wire goes where on the plug? Only 2 wires come out of the lamp. Thanks.

Yes, it does matter if correct polarity is to be maintained.

Black wire to brass screw on plug

White wire to silver screw on plug

If the plug has 3 prongs (grounding plug), the green wire goes to the green screw.

More info, let me know.

I want to put machine in my house but need 110 motor instead of 220. nothing wrong with motor or control box

I'm assuming that you brought a vacuum cleaner from a country that uses 220V to a country that uses 110V.

You either have to change the motor to a 110V motor, or find a way of plugging the cleaner into a 220V supply.

You could contact the manufacturer and ask them if they have a 110V replacement motor for your model. (Safety warning... it will take double the electrical current, which will cause four times the heating in the cable; this could be dangerous.)

A better solution would be to have an electrician fit a 220V outlet in your house. The pin arrangement will be different to prevent 110V deviced being plugged in to it. You'll have to cut the existing plug and replace it with the correct one for that voltage for your country. (I have used a British 'Dyson' in this way, plugged in to a tumble-dryer outlet; I use a GFI for extra safety.)

Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't - very unpredictable and most annoying

You have a loose wiring connection either at the plug, in the cable or at the switch. The most likely place is where the cable gets strained, at the plug or where it goes into the body of the cleaner. The switch could be faulty. Plug in switch on and move wiring near plug does it start? yes? then plug out check plug if you can or cut wire 2" from plug annd put new plug on.
If no leave it switched on Then try same near where cable goes in. If it stats get someone to remake connection into switch.
If no switch on and odd without touching cable. Does it start? if yes switch needs replacing. If no report back.

I need a wiring diagram for a rainbow d4c

Are you talking about the power switch. The new power switches have 4 wires sautered to the power switch, where the old ones have 6 wires that slip in and lock into the power switch.

The blue ones are for your power cord, and the black ones are for your vacuum motor, and your power nozzle plug.

Secure one motor wire and one power nozzle plug wire to one of the black wires out of the new switch, and secure the other two, to the other black one from the power switch. It does not matter which ones that you match together. Secure one of each of the power cord to the two blue wires from the power switch. It does not matter which one of them goes to each wire neither. It is AC so power goes both ways.

Use twist on wire nuts to secure the wires to each other, and put some electrical tape around each of them, after you secure them securly with the wire nuts.

It is best to secure the cluster of wires to each other with a pull tie, after you are finished wiring everything.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,

My dyson vacuum has no power.

Get an ohm meter (found on basically any multimeter), also called a continuency meter. its the setting that beeps when you have a straight line running from point a to b on a wire.

Unplug the vacuum. Test the cable from the plug to where it goes into the switch.Turn the switch on and test the points at the switch. Test the 2 wires running from the switch to the motor. make sure the 2 wires are plugged into the motor. Make sure the brushes on the motor is making contact with the armature. if they all test good, your motor has blown and will need replacing.

How do I fix an electrical plug on my vacuum

cut it off. go to a hardware store and get a three prong plug which you can install onto the wire.

when you prepare the wire you will see a black wire, a white, and a green.

black goes to the brass screw, white goes to the dull screw and green goes to the green ground screw.
