Question about Maytag Performa PAV2200
I just installed a motor in my Maytag washing machine. It was not the exact one, however it was similar in size, voltage and amps. So I installed it and it ran fine for a while, and then something was burning. I stopped the washer, inspected it and the belt underneath had been chewed and melted. Is it possible the motor was too fast or did I tighten the motor too much and as a result, there was not enough play for the belt on the pulleys?
NOT THE RIGHT MOTOR!!
