I suggest you contact iRobot (maker of Roomba) directly and ask about the availability of a repair manual. On the web page with the link above, you will find the Contact Us links for the company in the right side bar.
That's usually caused by a charging issue. Could be that the contacts the roomba uses to charge on the base are bad or the contacts on the roomba its self. Here is a good troubleshooting guide. Roomba customer service is very good too, if the roomba is less than a year old they will repair it for you. good luck!
You can purchase a wide variety of high quality Roomba replacement parts for your Roomba vacuum direct from Think Crucial with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10
Hi, it might be the 9-beep error. You can compare it with the video found on the EESolutions.ca website. They sell a repair kit there that can help you fix your Roomba.
Error 3 code usually means a power supply issue. Most of the time the charging base, the battery, or the power supply needs to be replaced.
Here's a link to the owners manual for your Roomba that will help you diagnosis the problem. Also the second link is to a Roomba board that has excellent resources for Roomba repair problems.
If this didn't fix your problem, or you have further questions, please feel free to use the comment field here on the Fixya repair page, and I'll be more then happy to help you.
Roomba going in circles.
Called irobot and if reseting it (by taking out the battery, unplugging it from the charger, and holding down the power button for 30 seconds), didn't work, turn the roomba over, take a compressor and blow air into the front. Maybe a shop vac would also work. We cleaned out the whole thing while we were at it. And now it works just fine. The tech person at irobot was very helpful.
Charging circuit on the roomba will sometime stop the unit from running. Just repaired one the other day doing just that. (Replace the main board, if you don't haave electronic repair skills, or the equipment to do it)
