Hooking up a awes12p 1100 watt subwoofer do u hook positive to positive negative to negative on the speaker

Hello there,
It depends on How many amplifiers you are using and whether the amp is runniong in 'bridged' mode (turns a stereo in to a double power mono. Then after that, it depends on what the RESISTANCE is that the amp will drive. because these Speakers have 2 coils of 4 ohms EACH. SO... (you can look this up if it is any easier.) For a 2 ohm speaker, you wire plus to plus and neg to neg and for 8 ohms you wire plus to minus and then amp neg and plus to othjer terminals.
I KNOW it sounds complicated because electronics is !!!! ...SO here is a page showing HOW to wire them you. Just click on the picture for your Amplifiers set up. and connct as shown.
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2234_Audiobahn-AWES12P.html?show_tab=3

It's ALL about the AMPLIFIER !!!!! and what it is 'driving' You must match speaker resistance / impedance to amplifier to get maximum power transfer.

New battery went dead. pulled the fuses and checked for a short. Found the fuse that shows a short just don't know what it goes too

A voltmeter is NOT the correct tool to check for an "ignition-off draw". A voltmeter will show 12 volts if ANYTHING is operating.

There are some things that are SUPPOSED to keep operating when the vehicle is shut off. These include, but are not limited to:
> Powertrain Control Module keep-alive memory
> Radio preset memory
> Clock
> Security/ alarm system
> Remote control recievers (door locks, etc.)

What you need to know is how many AMPS are being drawn from the battery when the vehicle is shut off. This is done by using a shunt bar connected between the battery terminal and the battery cable connector.

Set the ammeter to the lowest setting (usually 2 or 5 amp scale) Connect the ammeter leads accross the shunt bar. Turn off all electrical accessories, ignition switch, etc. and wait for a minimum of 45 minutes for all of the computer systems to go into "sleep" mode. Then open the shunt bar and read the amperage.

The "rule of thumb" is 300 milliamps (or 0.3 amps). This is where you have a problem. Anything less than this is not a problem and is not the cause of your dead battery. My experience is that most vehicles built in the last 15 years or so, will usually measure around 150 milliamps if there is no aftermarket equipment installed. Please note that even this 150 milliamps will measure as 12 volts if measured with a volt meter. A 2 amp draw will also measure as 12 volts....However, a 2 amp draw will kill your battery overnight and the 150 milliamp draw won't.

Cp9430r

Fixed Hunter ceiling fan with remote light pin out wiring 9 wire plug search words
Hunter Ceiling Fan with remote, fails to turn on light, fails to turn on fan..remote receiver is Cp9430r
1) Test your remote, Hunter uses Radio Frequency remote, point RF remote one inch from antenna of working AM radio, press each button on remote, each button will produce static sound from AM radio, if no sound..check battery wiring or solder connection on loop antenna of remote. If no sound on one or more buttons, disassemble and wash key pad with dish soap, rinse and fan dry, retest. If still one button no work apply graphite paint to button to rebuild conductivity of button.
2) Cp9430r receiver is below fan and above light. Remove light assembly, check receiver dip switches, mine was #5 On 1~4 Off, check remote control dip switches in 9v battery compartment also set #5 On 1~4 Off, new 9v battery still no Fan reversal "click" sound heard coming from the large Blue fan reversal relay located inside the Cp9430 receiver. All other buttons control transistors and will make no sound even if they are working.
3) Disassemble / unplug 9 wire plug from Cp9430r receiver, place receiver on wooden table, 9 wire plug has two empty pin squares, one empty in the center, the other empty we will call #1 ..counting clockwise #2,#3...#4,#5..#6,#7and finally top center next to empty #1 is #8. Now #8 is 110v hot/black ...& #4 neutral/white.
4) Shock Danger..carefully apply ac volts to pins #8,#4 use tape if needed, locate quad operational amplifier i call it radio receiver chip HA17324 on board, google HA17324 Datasheet, locate leg #14 it is across from leg #1. Locate small yellow ceramic capacitor very near leg #14, use capacitor's neg as neg for voltmeter, test volts at #1,#7,#8 and #14. My #1 was 3.1v, #7 3.2v, #8 3.25v and #14 .01v ...why #14 so low? I monitored each leg while pressing remote control buttons...no changes. **Desperate, I sparked (1/2 second or less) #14 with 3.14v from positive leg of yellow capacitor** and retested all legs, no change except now #14 rests at .02v and jumps to 2.5v~2.8v when any button on the remote is pressed then rests at .02v. Now Lights work, Fan speeds work, Reverse rotation Works :-)
Pin Out on 9 wire plug, #1 Empty pin, #2 Alternates w up/down fan rotation, #3 goes to 5uf fan capacitor other side of cap goes to white/neutral AC Line, #4 AC Line neutral, #5 goes to Triac? speeds? , #6 Alternates up/down fan rotation goes to up/dn blue relay, #7 goes to up/dn blue relay looks to be AC hot looking for fan probably paired with #3 changing sides at up/dn blue relay, #8 AC Line hot in. Why did **sparking** work, smarter people might know, i think a small spark got stuck in the chip and sparking helped the chip release it out. No electrical education, novice. Jer. 51 8,9 and 11

2004 E150 van wont start. -5 degrees last night, battery is less than a year old and tests out OK according to NAPA test. When key is thrown, just a click is heard. Dash volt meter reads normal,...

START BY CLEANING THE BATTERY TERMINALS. NEG CABLE OFF FIRST THEN POSITIVE. CLEAN CABLES & TERMINALS PUT CABLES BACK ON & TIGHTEN POS. FIRST, NEGATIVE ON LAST & TIGHTEN. IF THAT DOESN'T DO IT. LOCATE STARTER RELAY ON FENDERWELL. TURN KEY TO START. MEASURE VOLTAGE AT STARTER RELAY. IT SHOULD READ NEAR 12 VOLTS. IF NOT CHECK NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. THE STARTER MAY BE STUCK OR WORN AS A LAST RESORT HOLD IGNITION SWITCH IN START POSITION, AT THE SAME TIME TAP ON METAL PART OF STARTER WITH MEDIUM SIZE HAMMER. IF STARTER GOES AFTER HAMMER TEST, REPAIR OR REPLACE STARTER.

Just replaced my drive belts and know my battery is not holding charge. I had the battery tested and re charge everything was good there, How could I check the alternator?

you need a voltage tester, the way one works is you plave the pins in the battery terminal positive to positive, neg. to neg. you then continue by moving the slector on the tool to the RPM/AMP position it should read atleast 14 amps

ONE OHM STABLE 2500W MAX POWER AMP DIAGRAM ON 2

For a 1ohm load it's positive to positive and negative to negative run 1 wire from one speaker to the other. Positive to positive neg to neg. Then 1 wire from the speakers to the amp. The amp will have + - + - on it's inputs for left and right speakers (if stereo) Use the outside positive and outside negative. If there are any switches on the amp that say "mono" "stereo" switch to "mono". Hope this helps

How do i hook up my power acoustik capacitor the right way.

HEY GUY..FIRST THING....GOOD JOB IN GETTING A BIG CAP :) ...SECOND I HAVE WIRED THESE FOR YEARS..ITS REALLY VERY EASY.......THE OBJECTIVE IS TO PUT THIS IN LINE WITH YOUR AMP....SO WITHIN ABOUT A FOOT AND A HALF OF YOUR AMP..YOU WANT TO 1.. CUT YOUR POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE WIRES RUNNING THE POWER TO YOUR AMP...2. YOU WILL THEN CUT THE INSULATION OFF AROUND THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE WIRES ON BOTH ENDS OF THE WIRES YOU HAVE JUST CUT(YOU WILL END UP HAVING THE 2 POS AND 2 NEG. WIRES WITH THE INSULATION PEELED OFF)... 3... YOU WILL THEN JUST HAVE THE 2 WIRES (WITH THE INSULATION GONE OFF OF THEM) OUT OF THE AMP..AND THE OTHER 2 STRIPPED OFF RUNNING TO THE CAR BATTERY (POS) AND THE (NEG) TO THE CAR FRAME OR NEG BATTERY POST... 4.. YOU WILL THEN JUST MATCH UP THE POSITIVE FROM THE AMP INTO THE POSITIVE ON THE CAP...AND THE POSITIVE GOING BACK TO THE BATTERY OF YOUR CAR TO THE POSITIVE ON THE CAPACITOR...DO THE SAME THING WITH ALL OF THE NEGATIVES.......
SUMMARY.... CUT THE NEG. AND POSITIVE WIRES.WITHIN 1.5 FT FROM THE AMP.... PEEL INSULATION ON WIRES BACK ABOUT .5" ON ALL 4 WIRES.... PUT ALL THE POSITIVES TOGETHER AND ALL THE NEGATIVES TOGETHER...AND YOU CANT GO WRONG....THANK YOU
Good Luck

only using one of the channels for audio and having the rest of the amp wired up as normal should work fine. for example just use the right channel and leave the left unwired.
