atlexn, the key is the 'L" shape you make with your finger as you slowly slide it across.

I have repeatedly gotten this program on my computer. I do not want it and do not know how it keeps getting into my pc. Please close this account and please return my refund. If for some reason it gets put into my pc when I try to get something else, Please ignore the application. Thank You in advance.

I HAD the same issue before, and found that was the anti-virus actually causing the problem, every time I tried to access the digitalpersona personal switchboard, after I swipe my fingerprint, windows shut the program down. after i disable the anti-virus's password auto collecting function, the DPP works through.

Does not work for me :'(.

have got my hp pavilion dv9000 notebook for a month now, and still can't find what seems to be wrong.

I can register my own fingerprints with digital persona, but can't seem to be able to log in or use it for websites

any one any idea?
(obviously, I did try the suggested method, but that does not work)

Lay your finger flat down, with the first section of your finger above the reader, then keeping it totally flat, gently but firmly and slowly, glide it across the reader, moving it toward your right side after you have ran it across, as make an "L" shape. Be sure to go slow, and keep it flat.

DigitalPersona Personel Fingerprint reader not detected, HP Pavillion dv6706tx Vista 32, DigitalPersona Vers. 4.11.3805. All drivers up to date. In device manager cannot find Personal too. Any idea how to...

To install DP4.11 first uninstall all previous versions on your system and turn off authentec and biometric services in Windows Services so you can then delete the digital persona folder in Program Files (assuming dpagent was running) and uninstall fingerprint driver, then delete Fingerprint sensor folder in Program Files reboot and system will find and install fingerprint driver then double-click to execute and install DP4.11 setup program. (Note: all previous saved passwords for websites will still be listed in digital persona - you will not lose any passwords from your previous installation)
