I would have to agree, though 90% of these I have ever changed was not a manufacture flaw but more lack of proper use. The issues that I find that cause the unloader to stick are:

    1. Leaving water in the pump for long periods of time and not useing the machine, this causes hard water deposits to start and damageds the aluminum housing.

    2. Not using the proper winterization product in the machine over the winter.

    3. Not having a inline filter for your water supply, this causings dirt or any other materials that come in from your water supply to get stuck in the cylinder of the unloader and in turn will damage the inside of the aluminum cylinder.

How to set a high pressure unloader valve on a FAIP 1500 H120 washer

Are you talking about the electric switch that shuts off the motor when the trigger is released?
If so, there is an arm that comes out of the high pressure side of the manifold and is connected to a spring loaded piston. The piston extends under high pressure (spray trigger released) and retracts when spraying. At the opposite end of the arm is an allen screw and locknut. The allen screw bears on the microswitch arm to control the electric motor. When properly adjusted, the motor should turn off when the trigger is released. If it doesn't, loosen the locknut and adjust the allen screw slightly outwards toward the switch. Pull the trigger a few times and verify the motor starts up and shuts down when you release it. Tighten locknut.
Hope that helps.

Loud repeating noise until the water trigger is pressed

Check the pressure washer for leaks. That sound is probably the unloader valve recycling as the machine slowly looses pressure and needs to build it up again to max pressure.

Wait for pressure after trigger is pulled

the pressure releif valve may be sticking. you will need to take it out, clean it, the put it back in. it should have a spring on it. make sure that the valve works smoothly in the bore.

Gun wil not trigger after stopping

I'm not real clear on what you're saying, but I think it's that the trigger will not shut down the pressure as it should. It stays stuck on. The other info is how long you've had the washer, but my hunch is that maybe you have hard water, and the deposit build up may be getting the trigger stuck. Try spaying some penetrating oil inside the wand to loosen any deposits that may have built up.

NO PRESSURE

check the coupling or the belt between the engine and pump. unsure which this washer uses. the pump may also have failed, usually it is the coupling or belt broken or slipping

Trigger problems

It is recommended that once pressure washer is in operation and water flow thru wand is there ,that you do not allow off period between burst of no more that 2 minutes or you highly risk damage to your pump, not engine, due to overheating. See if Dump valve is adjustable, cheaper models not adjustable. This valve senses pressure/heat build up in pump when trigger is released, and is a secondery backup to release such heat/pressure to avoid pump failure. If you have repeatly left trigger off for more than 2 minutes in for prolonged periods of time, this is not good.
