Audio module may be bad, it can be replaced. Use Control Panel Device Manager and delete the audio module to see if operating system will see it and reload driver upon reboot.
When this happens it means that the whole recepticle has been broken off of the motherboard and the whole laptop will have to be disassembled. This is not an easy job for someone who hasn't done one before. After it's disassembled it has to be determined if the recepticle can be resoldered or not. Sometimes the damage is not repairable. Good luck!
Try using a different power outlet. Make sure all your connections are good.
If the laptop will just not charge, and the light on the side of the laptop which should light up when charging, is not working, then your laptop's battery may be faulty.
This is the kind of problem that you probably will have to send it in to Toshiba to have it repaired.
Go their website, go to the Contact page and email them. If you are still in warranty they will repair it for free.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for using FixYa.
IF YOUR BATTERY IS FINE, IT WOULD BE YOUR POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM, SO U NEED TO CHECK IT BY VISITING ANY ELECTRONICS SHOP AND CHECK THE OUT PUT VOLTAGE OF IT
In case these components are just plastic covers you will not have any problem but beware of the dust that may come into the laptop. If these components are electronics, I'm sorry to said that you will have various problems, depending on the components.
