You might try wrapping it very tighly in newspaper then use sticky tape it up.
freeze it for 8hrs then thore it out at room temperature before recharching it make sure there is no moisture on the battery when recharging even put it in a sealed bag before freezing this worked for me freezing a battery rejuvenates you have nothing to lose you need a new battery
