I would suggest to check the needle to see if it's damaged
also check to make sure the machine is threaded correctly,,that the thread is in every thread guide
also some sewing machine have a problem with the top thread coming off the thread take up lever
also I would check the bobbin area for lint or any loose threads
also check the top thread tension to see if it's set correctly
also the hook race cover & hook need to be taken out & cleaned & then put back in
some machine have had problems with the hook getting grooves worn into them & need to be fixed or replaced

I checked my thread and bobbin watch the video and my machine keep bunches the bottom stitch

Is it really the bobbin thread that is bunching? Generally, thread messes under the fabric are the fault of the top thread, and thread messes on top of the fabric are a bobbin problem.

Top thread bunching under the fabric is called "thread nesting" or "bird nesting" but I prefer to call it thread "barfs." Most often, it occurs because the top thread has not been seated completely in the tension disk.

Install a brand new needle.
Remove the top thread from the machine.
RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top thread.
(Verify the thread path is correct.)
Set the top tension disk at the midway point.

Retest your machine. Tweak the top tension if required.

When I sew I have thread bunching up underneath the fabric, I've changed needle size, thread, bobbins and cleaned out around the bobbin holder. I'm frustrated and out of ideas.

Susan--
Easy peasy, once you know the problem and how to fix it. It's called "bird nesting" or "thread nesting" or what I refer to as thread "barfs."

Install a brand new needle.
Remove all the thread from the machine.
**ALWAYS RAISE** the presser foot and rethread the top thread.
Verify the top thread path is correct.
Install and thread the bobbin case, make sure it is correct.
Set the top tension to the midway point.

Now retest your machine. Birds nests gone? You may need to tweak the top tension because the factory standard changes due to age and use.

FWIW, problems appearing under the fabric are an issue of the top thread. Thread problems appearing on top of the fabric is a bobbin issue.

Bobbin issues the bobbin thread is bunching up

Check whether it is bobbin thread or the top thread accumulating under the fabric. Generally, if thread problems exist "under" the fabric, it is a top thread issue. If the problems exist "above" the fabric, it is a bobbin issue.

Sounds like a thread nesting (bird nesting) problem where the top thread is globbing under the fabric. Usually, this is caused by misthreading (confirm the thread path), the thread not seated in the tension disk (ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading!), or very loose top thread tension.

Remove the thread. Raise the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Check that the thread path is correct. Set the upper tension at the midway point between high & low numbers (this is the beginning point for tension and will most likely need to be tweaked for your particular machine).

I'm having trouble properly threading my Elna 1010. Could you please help? The bobbin thread keeps bunching up and breaking

bunching of thread under the material is an indication of insufficient tension of the needle thread
increase the needle tension until the threads meet at the center of the materialbeing sewn

Thread on my consew 225 keeps balling the thread on the bottbottom

Sounds like bird nesting. The upper thread accumulates under the fabric creating a series of loops and knots.

First: Install a brand new needle and make sure it is installed facing the correct direction. (A new needle is the least expensive fix for most sewing machine issues.)

Second: Remove the thread. RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Make sure it is threaded correctly (consult the owner's manual).

Third: Pull up the bobbin thread through the fabric and gently hold the thread tails in your left hand while slowly taking the first couple of stitches.

Thread bunching underneath fabric on Bicor VX1005 mahine.

The impulse is to blame the bobbin, because that's where the thread bunches. But the problem is probably with the top thread tension. The tension is too loose, allowing the bobbin to help itself to all the thread it wants. Retrace the path of the thread from spool to needle and see if you missed anything. The instructions in my VX1005 manual are not clear. I had to try a couple of paths before I got it right. Make sure the spring in the tension disk setup is moving freely. You should feel a fair amount of resistance when you pull on the needle thread. Hope this helps.

Try a different bobbin. Look for one that is a little narrower. I had the same problem and changing to a narrower bobbin fixed it.
