You know the small packest of silica beeds that are packed with new electronic equipment to absorb moisture and keep things dry?
Go to a hardware store and purchase a jar of the beeds. Remove the battery and place the phone in the beads so that it is completely submerged. Put the lid on the jar for about 24hours. This should absorb the moisture from inside the phone and allow it to work.

I have also done this with a large bowl of rice (uncooked). To work it needs to be done almost immediately.

How do you fix phones that fell in water?

try using a hair dryer on low setting on phone to dry it out and placing the phone in a jar for a while with raw rice. Electronics and water do not mix so it may not work you may have damaged circuitry beyond repair.

My nokia e7 fell into water and won't turn on

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

Samsung Galaxy S2 fell into water wont turn on ! PLEASE HELP

You should not have tried to use it right away. You should have immediately pulled the battery out and then blow dried it and put into the rice bag for 24-36 hours. Because you tried to use it is shorted out. You will need a new phone as it is probably not going to be able to be fixed. Sorry!

My droid 3 fell into the sink and got wet, it wasn't totally submerged it splashed into a dish that had some water in it, I put it in a bag of rice overnight and when I turned it on this a.m....

First thing is take out the battery and dry the battery with a towel or paper towel. Allow it to dry for a while and in the meantimelet you phone dry out. There is suppose to be a seal around the phones main board to keep out moisture so if it didn't get to wet it should be OK. After about 30 minutes the battery should be dry enough to put back in and then try to turn the phone on. In most cases it will work.

My cell c902 fell in water now water to me is dry

If you open it completely and sit it in front of a heater or hair dryer it may work for a little while.. but be warned.. the connections on the inside probably will rust and corrode in the future.. then you will experience all sorts of problems!

My phone fell in water briefly. did i ruin it??

Most likely you did. I reccommend drying it on a vent if it is still wet. Just like washing your phone, it can ruin one sitting in water briefly. This is hard to fix, you may need a new phone.

disassemble it as much as you can. leave it in a dry warm environment for about a week to dry out. put it back together in about a week. charge up the battery and power it up. cross your fingers it may work.

p.s. was it on when it fell in the water ?

Fell in salt water, dryed it for 3 days, is displaying "battery is required... powering off" when the battery is in. ALSO " Repair mode, please remove the battery to reboot your phone. Is it a write off?

the fact that it fell in salt water is proberly affecting it, try rincing it in pure clean water and then let it dry out, that might help. water shouldn't affect the phone, but the sault would.
