It may be a bad connection on the control panel, which we repair for customers nationwide with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

Or it may be a bad magnetron.

But please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.

It turned out to be the three door attachments that weren't lined up. It has been fixed. We almost bought a new one because Samsung referred us to a service that would have charged way too much to be worth it even thought the machine is only 3 or so years old. Luckily, we looked further. A local independent appliance fixer came to the house and took care of it within a few hours of my call! Yea!

Hi.. It sounds as if you have a Chassis diode that is failing in your Microwave. Intermittent fuse blowing can also be cause by a misadjusted door interlock micro switch. Also you can have the large capacitor inside your microwave chasiss that is occasionally shorting out from use. Based what you described here there is no need to replace the entire unit. Have it repaired as the cost of repair vs replacement are somewhat reasonable.

Newish oven powers itself off intermittently

I would look into the thermal shoutdown thermistor inside the micro. It's also posible it may be a bad switch, when power starts, the switch start reacting, not common but I see this posible.

I hope this helps.
