You should try this monitor with other PC or try another monitor with this PC to find out if it is monitor problem or video card problem.

No signal ???????

I have the same problem in setting up two displays, a Dell as primary and a VA2223wm Viewsonic as secondary, both connected to an Nvidia geforce 9500 GT. I think it might be the cable, but it's baffling. I have one DVI cable that seems to work on either monitor, and either plug on the graphics card. The second DVI cable doesn't seem to work, but when it's connected to the Viewsonic, the Nvidia control panel detects the monitor as secondary, so I can change settings, etc., but the monitor still says no signal. Each monitor works separately when connected with one cable, but not with the other.

Thoughts?

I get a "no input signal" error message on the

Check the cable, to make sure that it's plugged into the monitor and the computer.
After that restart the computer - some computers only detect monitors right when it turns on.

I just replaced the ram on my pc but when I went to turn it back on it says no signal detected and goes. Black while the power light goes orange. I have checked and rechecked the physical connection over...

Your computer isn't starting up, no video is getting to the monitor, and that's why you see the "no signal" message and the power light goes orange. Make sure you've reconnected any internal cables you might have removed when you replaced the RAM. Also be sure you've seated the RAM properly into its socket. I've seen modules seated crooked so that contacts are shorted. The modules should fit properly into the sockets so the latches click into place.

Try reinstalling the original RAM and see if the computer starts properly. You might have a defective part which is keeping the board from starting up.

Since the trouble began after you replaced the RAM, that's where to start looking for the cause. Good luck, and thanks for using Fixya!

Line across lcd screen

Try the following steps:
  1. On the monitor, press Menu, and select Factory Reset.
  2. If the monitor has more than one type of connection available such as VGA, DVI, or HDMI, try a different type of connection.
  3. Connect the monitor to another computer. If the line appears when the monitor is connected to the second computer, the monitor might be damaged or defective.Otherwise, the video card and driver is causing the problem from the computer. let me know if this resolved ur issue.. regards, guru

Unable to detect 1440 x 900 resolution after change of cables

Try updating video drivers to be sure, but once you go over 3 meters, the video signal can degrade, causing a loss in the PnP signal to your monitor. Try setting the resolution manually.
