Without the model number I am not for sure what pump you have but there are 2 things that can cause this.

#1 Would be the check valve in the tank may be weak or bad. This allows air to go into the tank and not escape. If this is bad typically you will have air coming back out of your pressure switch after the air compressor is turned off.

#2 You may have a blown head gasket between you first and second stage in the top of the compressor pump. To solve this problem you would need to replace the head gaskets in your air compressor.

Thanks

What size wire need to used for hook up elect 7hp 60 gallon g5396

Hi GCHEVY,
CH recommends their power cord part# EC012902AV. This is a three wire cord, using 10 gauge wires. (1) Black, (1) White, (1) Green or Bare. See CH video here for additional setup tips:

Just installed aqua/cleer reverse osmosis system and the water doesn't seem to be going into the holding tank, however there is water that is coming out from the tap.

Make sure all the lines are hooked up correctly. It is going to take 3-8 hours to fill a 3 gallon RO storage tank. It depends on the capacity of the membrane (IE: 14, 20, 30, 50 or 75 gpd). It also depends on the TDS of the water. Water that has high TDS 500+ppm will take longer to produce product water than TDS of 100ppm. Check the pressure in the RO tank. When empty (In a 3 gallon tank) there should be 7psi pressure. A ten gallon tank takes 10psi. If it needs air you can use a bicycle pump to add appropriate air. Make sure the tank valve is turned off when adding air.
Do not use the RO faucet for several hours to allow tank to fill up. Also you should dump the first couple tanks of RO water to make sure any carbon fines are rinsed out.

What size line should i run to a 60 gallon air tank 375 feet from electric box and keep it running correclty, i have 10 gauge now and it gives a few good starts then it trips the breaker switch. It is a...

you need to run this compressor on a cooker trip (ei:30 amp) it pulls far to much power for a house hold trip (ie:15 amp) even if close to a 13 amp plug, at 375 feet???? thats some loss in the wire, over 50%!!!!! if it trys to start on the low loop.s it pops your trips!! right? hook it up to your cooker trip, but its still a very long hick for your power to get to,,
ps,,,this compresor never come with a three pin plug on it did it? like 3.7 hp = 4000 watt's app at the plug!
you could try puting a bigger starter (cap) on the motor that will hold more amp's for starting up on
and it will give your motor a longer,,,kick start,,,
talk to your frendly sparky first! ("caps," can and will kill you, if you tuch a charged up one!!!! so dont play with them) hope this helps you out

New motor for Coleman Powermate 60 gallon compressor

Hi there and first and foremost, just want to say Thank you for your service.

Generally for larger air compressors, the factory motor is designed to do the correct amount of work to power everything. Your wanted to step down from 240 volt motor to a 120 volt motor will probably not work. Let me explain why.

The factory 240 volt motor is going to produce more torque. It would be Tough to find a 120volt motor to match that amount of torque. The compressor or piston pump that the motor powers, requires a certain amount of torque, and speed. If you can dig in and find the compressor pump it should state right on the housing the required power to operate efficiently.

Another possible issue with going with a smaller motor is Shaft size. The 240 volt motor will tend to have a large shaft diameter then a 120.

I hope this helps, although a smaller motor would save you money on your electric bills, it just simply wont get the job done.
