Paper stop my cope machine paper is stop at middle

shredders have a small tag next to the cutter wheels that move when you insert paper to shred. This tag is easily jammed or damaged during operation. It is normally about the middle and will be positioned between two blades. If this is not moving when paper is inserted it will not switch the machine on. It is the same switch that wwhen jammed by paper will not switch off the machine after paper has been shredded.

have tech come out might require replacing clutches and or rollers

This an old machine. If there is voltage at the wall outlet, it's probably toast. There are no replacable fuses.

In the Auto position it should stop by itself after the paper has passed thro...if it is not stopping try cleaning the "glass eyes" in the middle of the paper opening.( unplug the machine first.)

does coping work?
have u tried rotating the paper
also try cleaning the sensors on top of the machine

usually something on scan glass..ord lamp is bad..try coping blank paper..if line shows up...check glass clean and try again..

no way. the paper feeder of machine recognices the paper edges. there is no way to compute the exactly positon for different papers.

Not much,in most cases both can be switched, thermal is different, lasers use toner not ink, Premium inkjet paper has better ink asorbition properties with little spread, and paper designed for lasers can cope with the heat applied when it passes via the 180 deg fuser that melts the toner to it. Generally paper used in inkjets and laser is just standard 80gsm paper

Never use labels/transparentcy's designed for inkjets in laser machines they wont cope with the heat,

You can shut off the answering machine this way....press these buttons...

[ +] [ - ] { FAX ONLY}

[ SET ]

[ MENU ]

You're done now...the answering machine will not answer. If you want to stop the fax machine from answering...press [Auto Answer] off.

You could try opening the feeder and clean the gray rollers with mentholated spirits and see how that helps as it just maybe the rollers are slipping slightly.

Once you have done the above take out all of the paper from the back feed and using one sheet blot the leading edge with some spirit and place back into the machine (The back of it) then try coping something there will be a paper jam and do this a couple of times. Once you have done this wipe the area dry put new paper in and then try doing a copy and the paper should feed perfectly now and the test will come when fax comes in.
