Hi,
There is no simple way to switch tv from hotel mode to normal mode, you need to have special service remote to do so.
It is the Philips green color remote model RC2573. On the left side of the remote it has a switch for Guest, DCM and Setup.
Turn the TV on. Select setup then punch in the code 024995 then press the "M" button. Channels will change when you punch in the code but that's OK. A menu appears and the first option on the menu is Hotel/Consumer mode.
Simply change it to Consumer and follow the instructions on the screen to exit. After you exit, turn the TV off then back on. TV is set on normal mode.
Your hotel may be have that remote to fix it.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi Russell,

TV's most commonly found in Hotels do not have an input button which is what you would use on almost every TV set out there.

I believe that if you go to channel 2 and then channel down there maybe an AV1, AV2, Video1, Video2 or even an A1, or A0, etc.. This is what you will need to tune the TV to in order to watch a movie from the VCR or DVD player using the RCA Cables.

Unfortunately there is not a user manual online at this time, but this is where you would find it:

Trying to hook up a Philips 22'' TV to Sony CD/DVD player. Need help. I have a Red, White. and Black connector to go from TV to CD Player. Do I need anytning else? TV model # 22PFL3504D/F7

Usually the Color Red and White is for the audio channels and yellow is for the video but in your case you find black instead of yellow.

So you do the connection as per the instruction given below.

TV DVD Player
Red--------------Red
White------------White
Black-------------Yellow

By "Pay Movie" do you mean a rented movie? If so, don't fret, those movies are in the worst condition, and I am surprised when they do work

I have a philips dvd player and it has a registration code to view vods but i don.t know how to hook it up to view them from verizon vod or netflix or anything

I don't know you exact model #, but the Philips DVP642, for instance, was tied only to DivX VOD service - a service that was cancelled after Philips manufactured the DVD player. So there is no longer any way to access it.

How to hook up my dvd player to my cable box

Richard,

I would have to guess that you are hooking up a DVD recorder?

If you are then you take the video and audio cables out of the cable box and hook them in to the DVD R input plugs. The output wires go to the TV video/ audio in. Its just like hooking up a VCR.

Now if you are trying to hook the DVD player up to watch movies then you have to hook up the audio/video cables up from the DVD to the back of the TV into your Video 1/2 input. If you have the Component wires you hook them up the same way.

Now if your TV only has the one set of plugs (video/audio) then goto your local Audio/Video store and pick up the A/V cables that have the "Y" or "T" plug on one end.

I hope this helps you.

If cable is hooked through cable box with a coaxial cable, then turn tv to ch 3 or ch 4 as appropriate.

If cable is hooked through any other type of cord (red/green/blue or red/white/yellow) use the AV+ or Source button to change your source to Av1, AV2, HDMI, or however you have the cable box hooked to TV (I am assuming your TV is a Philips).
