You are going to have to unwire it make sure power is off to the unit! If side panels to not remove then yepper you will have to bring it out the front! Once the centrifugal fan housing is out you will loosen a screw on the shaft to slide the fan blade off the shaft of the motor! Goodluck! It is quite a bit of work!

3 amp fuse blows when call for gas after pilot runs for 30 seconds

check the blower motor for seized of burnt out. Fuses blow because of excess current draw and in this case if the fan is not starting everything will stop. The gas will be set so that if the fan is not running the gas will not be allowed to turn on

You need to check the motor amp draw against the spec tag on the motor. If the motor has power to the motor wires it's either the motor or the run capacitor.

Need to wire furnace blower

Gas valve should only have a couple of wires...24 Volt & common. the blower will use one speed on a gas furnace & a common. If you have AC or a fan switch on your thermostat, then the high speed will also be connected on the blower.

you need to check to see if blower motor runs in ac mode, if not then the first thing you want to check is the capaciter for that motor. if capaciter is good, motor may be locked up, you can check the amps of the motor by putting an amp clamp around wires going to blower motor, all ratings should be listed on motor

You need to check the wiring to the limits and safety devices with are in a number of locations, make sure all connections are tight. The most common cause for the blower to run is the high limit device which is the one mounted above the burners on the flat metal panel with two wires.

The only thing you can do at this point is
  1. Hookup a volt meter to the power lines running to the blower motor
  2. Turn the a/c on
  3. You should have voltage on at least 1 wire.
  4. Most motors have multiple speeds so you must check (red - blue - black) wires. My suspicion is that your motor is done.

Carrier 58 Series Furnace Blower Motor Won't Shut Off

Yes. If the high limit is tripped, the furnace will bring on the fan continuously until the limit resets. Often, they will not reset if tripped repeatedly. If the furnace is too large for your application, you probably are not able to move enough air to keep the heat exchanger cool enough.

Carrier Weathermaker SX model 58SX060-CC Blower runs all the time

Remove all power from the furnace, it is likely the brain in the furnace is need of being reset, from the battery replacement, why did you change the battery, was there an indicator telling you to change it?

Many times just removing all the power to the furnace will do the trick with a reset, if not let me know and we will go from there, but it sounds like the main brain is confused or bad, more likely confused, so try the power removed first.

Than let me know wbwill@sbcglobal.net

I have a Ruud Silhoulette Model #UGPJ-12EARJR Furnace. My Carrier A/C unit comes on but the fan blower motor in the furnace does not.

Could be a bad fan control board or the motor. Need to see if you have power to the motor from the board
