It is because of you need to set bios settings also make sure cmos cell on motherboard is working fine. For that open cpu cabinet then you can see round cmos cell on motherboard make sure it has proper voltage replace it if it is not working. Then when you power up the computer press F`1 or F2 or del or ALT+F2 key to enter in bios then set time settings and save settings and exit from bios. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

What do I press to access the bios to reset?

Re-start the computer and well before it starts loading windows press the F2 key continuously until the screen pops up. If it does not and the computer loads and opens windows you were too late hitting the key or you were not hitting the key frequently enough. In that event you need to start the process over again by re-starting the computer again.

Got an Acer 4050 from ebay and it goes straight to enter boot password

can you click on f12 before it goes to boot password?
The F12 Boot Menu allows you to choose which device that you would like to boot the computer's Operating System from by pressing the F12 key during the computer's Power On Self Test, or POST process. Some notebook and netbook models have the F12 Boot Menu disabled by default.
If this sounds like your problem then try this:
If this sounds like
To enable the F12 Boot Menu:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Press the F2 key to enter computer's BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test, or POST, process while the Acer logo is being displayed.
  3. Press the Right Arrow key to select Main
  4. Select F12 Boot Menu
  5. Press the Enter key
  6. Select Enabled
  7. Press the Enter key
  8. Press the F10 key and then press the Enter key to save the changes and restart the computer.
Note: Not all Acer notebooks or netbooks have the F12 Boot Menu feature. Computers that do not have the F12 Boot Menu feature will not be able to enable the feature within the BIOS. I hope this works for you if not, then the problem is obviously not the boot menu. Go to Acer support for more help

* Make sure the laptop is using the AC adapter
* Turn on or restart the computer
* When the Dell logo appears, press F12 immediately. If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop, and then shut down the computer and try again
* Select Diagnostics from the menu and press Enter
* If a failure is detected, the computer stops and beeps, press Y to retest the component that failed

Bios setting probleme

you can not press the F12 or F2 Key at startup ....You need to hold the key down abd bios will open of boot order if F12 is pressed.

So hold the key down(F2,F12) then press the power key...keeping the F key pressed down.

Good Luck

I need to change the boot sequence on a cisnet, The normal F2

It usually says on the splash screen (right when you boot the computer) what button to press to enter Setup. It may say CMOS or BIOS. All 3 will take you to the same place.

Pressing F12 will take you to a Boot Menu, but it won't save permanently the device you choose to boot to using this method, so you'd have to do it everytime.

Everytime i restart my computer my computer was corrupted

Do you let it go through and fix the files every time, or do you exit out of it by pressing a key on your keyboard to go on with the startup process? It will constantly tell you there are corrupted drives until you let it fix itself.

No operating system found

If the error message says "No operating system found" it is most likely a faulty disk controller or a faulty hard disk.
Reseat the hard disk, if this doesn't work you need to test the hard disk another way. Remove the hard disk and connect it to an USB hard disk adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port. If this computer sees this as an external hard drive and you can open the folders and files then the hard disk is OK and the fault is the disk controller on the the 4115c laptop.
If the hard disk is not detected then the hard disk is faulty. You need to install a new hard disk, install Windows and the laptop's device drivers and programs to get a working laptop again.

Computer wont load up

If you can open you system than what you have to do is just to unplug the hard disk power cable and data cable and refit is properly and than start your system. This will definately help you unless your system is not effected with virus.
