Question about Casio Exilim EXZ75 Digital Camera

Set up settings won't stick after camera is turned off

Everytime I turn off my camera and turn it back on, I have to go through the set up again of setting the date & time, country, etc. Other than that, the camera works fine. Any ideas what the problem is?

Yes on the ex-z75 Casio camera there is a internal battery right under the front cover by the speaker wires this battery is a 3.6 volt battery that is soldered on the board. the only what is to make a make shift battery pack and solder it on to the prongs. I do this with out any guarantee that because it is not factory default and they do not sell the battery to any one. most of the time they will tell you the main board has to be replaced. if the main board has to be replaced it is 85.00 plus shipping from my shop but if soldering a 3.6 battery pack works then it would be 40.00 to replace the battery.

Hi, I change the memory stick for a 4GB,and now every time I turn on my camera I need to set the clock(but it won't set!!).Then I put back the 2GB memory stick and I still have the same problem.

The memory card for a digital camera is only used to store pictures. The problem with your camera not storing the date correctly is most likely a battery issue. If you let the camera battery completely drain, it will reset to factory settings. If this is not the problem, I would suggest calling the company's tech support line, as they will be able to help you track down the problem.

Good Luck!

Everytime I turn on my camera it says : Turn the power off and on again. It flashed the error E or F 91:01.

It sounds like you have a FLASH FAIL error message on a Sony Cybershot.

This solution was provided by acem77 at agorarequestdotcom:

1st I ordered the service manual from http://servicemanuals.net/index.html
2nd I downloaded a RM95 emulator program. this program actslike/replaces the remote commander sony techs use to change settings.
http://stanza.techfocus.net/camera/rm95.zip in side the zip is the RM95EMUL.EXE and RM95DUMP.EXE
3rd I made the LanC Interface Cable on this web site http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/action/printarticle/1464
the steps above save you $200 in service tools. The cable parts cost about $12 the manual cost about $30.
I can sell you a cd copy cheaper if you have the same camera.
when you are ready plug the cable you made into the (ext flash) or (lanC) port on the sony camera.
Put your camera in play mode and turn it on. Then start the RM95DUMP.EXE program in a dos prompt.
Type (RM95DUMP.EXE>factory.txt) this will save a copy of all the setting of the camera to your pc.
Now you did that run RM95EMUL.EXE.
You will need the service manual to know what settings to change.

I had to change these addresses to unlock page d with the flash error setting.
Set address to (reset all values to default after page d is changed and saved)
Page: 0 .address: 01,and set data: 01.
Page: 2 .address: 03,and set data: 00.
Page: 2 .address: 00,and set data: 2d.
Page: 2 .address: 01,and set data: 2d.
Page: 2 .address: 02,and set data: 01.

Cant change this setting until you change the above settings
Page: d .address: 67,and set data: 00 (if you have an error this will be 4 set it back to 0)
Write/save the new change to memory

The date and time start up appears everytime i turn on.

Set the date and time at least once... if it still keeps coming up when you change the batteries the back up battery/capacitor has failed... my old kodak does that so i know the frustration but it's still a good camera

Can't get the Date off the Pictures

First you have to go to the set up menu and set the correct time and date, then you can go back to the settings and select OFF for time and date. If you do not set the correct time and date , that default date stays in the picture.

Will not focus

First Send me your camera's model (Brand Name)

Some digital and analog camera in these days has features to manualy set the focus in our wish.
Try to disable this feature. And try not to poke or push the lens of the camera. By doing this you may destroy the lens.

And try to reformet the mem stick + try to reset the camera.
(Everything will be resetted, "it will be as if you have a new camera")
