Over heated hover

Hi there, I’ve got a upright Hoover and it cuts out after about 5 mins I think it’s over heated but if i leave it for 5 mins it works again but cuts of again how can i fix it?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It is possible that you my have a heat sensor, but as far as what you described you need to change both belts, the brushroll belt and the power drive belt as well and @ the same time. The average belt change is every 4 to 6 months on the vacuum. Does it stop completely or is it just the belt problem. Or #2 is the vacuum giving off a burning smell other than the belts and if it does it could be the motor. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Dyson runs about 5 min then shuts off

REMOVE AND CLEAN FILTERS AND YOU MAY FIND IT WILL WORK OK IF STILL CUTS OUT YOU MAY HAVE A FAULTY THERMAL CUT OUT BLOCK INSIDE THE MOTOR HOUSING
THIS HAPENS WHEN DYSON IS USED WITH CLOGGED FILTERS AND HEAT DAMAGE TO THERMAL BLOCK

AVERAGE REPAIR COST £45 - £ 69 FOR NEW REPLACEMENT

Will be using my dc07 for about 10 mins then it cuts out i leave it to cool then it goes for about 5 mins and carries on like this

There is a thermal cutout on the motor causing this problem because it is overheating. Either it needs the filter replacing and a good blowout with compressed air or the thermal switch is faulty. Try replacing the filters first and if the problem persists it is probably a faulty thermal cutout. Dyson can either replace under warranty or an engineer will call and do a home refurb for a fixed price of £60

Dyson vacuum cuts off

hi this sound like a familiar problem of the motor o/heating due to lack of ventilation ? check the filters ok? remove the cover concealing the roller brush/beater and check for clogging at the underneath and housing clear it out properly easier to remove/lift out roller ? also clear out the clear bucket dust collector and most important the cone that fits into this canister has a cylindrical honeycombed/small holes(looks like hundreds? ) use a small pointed impliment to poke out all!!these holes as these are relative to vacuum within cylinder so if not clear ? motor no vent and result is no/poor vac and o/heat then thermo switch kicks in and shuts down till motor cools hope this helps best wishes from uk

DC07 cutting out

Hello,
I sounds that your thermal fuse is cutting out. By no means try to bypass this thermal fuse. It protects your product from catching on fire. Replace the thermal fuse at a service center. How old is this product?

Hi.

Check brush roller is spinning when vacuuming.
Check short clear hose under machine for rips & blockages.
