Question about Sony KDL-46XBR4 46 in. LCD Television
The problem of the television is either from the t-com board of the television or a capacitor is burnt on the main board of the television.
As long as you get sound and it does not show a clear screen and brings up all sorts of display, then it is obvious that is is the t-com board.
To check if it is a capacitor on the main board of the television, you have to open up the television, then assess the main panel of the television, to see if there is any faulty capacitor by checking if any one is swollen in any way or has burnt looks. If any is detected, then it can be replaced with exactly the same type of capacitors take note of the size and capacity of the capacitor you want to replace the burnt one with.
If it is the t-com board. Once you have your t-com board replaced, then the television would be in good conditions again.
