I have had my Sony Cyber Shot (DSC-S650) for about 6 mo. I have tried all different settings for the flash but almost all of my pictures come out with the person very white and bright. The pictures are fine if taken outside in natural light but anything other than that and my pictures are very white and bright. I have even tried to turn the flash all the way down on the manual setting. This is the third Sony Cybershot camera that I have owned and have never needed to change any of the settings. This is very dissapointing as most of my pictures that I have taken since receiving this camera are useless. PLEASE HELP!!!
Hey JAKI-LYNN, I would reset the camera to the factory default settings in case something got set wrong. You can reset the camera in the setup menu and it is called initializing the camera. I would then set the mode dial to either to the soft portrait setting, or the twilight portrait setting. If you still have the problem I would try manually adjusting exposure to underexpose the image, and instructions on how to do this are on page 23 of your manual. I hope this helps! I was loading pictures to my PC, and pulled out the cords without shutting down the camera first. After that, the camera "froze" - it would not turn on or off. The battery is full, so must be something else. Now I cannot shut or open the camera, and it does not take pictures.
