I have a Hoover self propelled WindTunnel vacuum( Model U6425-920) that stops in the middle of cleaning. I have changed the flat belt and I'm still experiencing the problem. I usually have to wait an hour or so b/4 it would work again. Any advise?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It is possible that you my have a heat sensor, but as far as what you described you need to change both belts, the brushroll belt and the power drive belt as well and @ the same time. The average belt change is every 4 to 6 months on the vacuum. Does it stop completely or is it just the belt problem. Or #2 is the vacuum giving off a burning smell other than the belts and if it does it could be the motor. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
