Hi. Is there any error message/number on the screen? Try to clean the lens first by using a cd cleaner.

Hi. try to apply a little pressure and push the tray. If try wont go inside then there is a possibility the reiling are defective or the mechanism inside is not responding.

It means that the read/write head is not reading the CD. The head and CD need cleaning with a soft cloth/tissue. CD should be cleaned in up-down and right-left manner and not circular.

Hi,

This problem is common on most of the Ford cars.If you bought it, it is advisable to get it replaced. However, if it is non returnable One thing you can try to do is to remove the radio and unplug it. Then remove the top cover and look inside. If you can see the CDs, plug the radio back in with out sliding it back into the dash and see if you can carefully move the CDs around to get them to eject. Most of the time it is one single CD causing the whole problem. Fords CD players really don't like certain CDs, like ones with labels stuck to them, not saying your are, but also burned and scratched up CDs have caused several problems also.I have fixed MANY of them for the same reason as yours.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

    Thanks for your response!!

Unfortunately, that means that the CD player is at fault and needs repair.

Will it physically not accept the disc into the player? Or it loads into the player but just won't play?

Let me know and I can definitely help

Thats definitely not good, that means the mechanism that accepts the CD has failed. Is this a stock cd player? If so you are just going to want to get it replaced with an aftermarket unit... they are extremely expensive to repair.

    Thanks
    Tim

Oh if you just bought it today thats a different story. Was it from a dealership or an individual? Either way you can get them to pay for the repair if they represented it as working.

Solenoid, which is just a big switch might be bad, motor might be bad. If you have good access should be easy to troubleshoot. Doesn't sound serious.

I have a 2007 ford explorer sport trac had it serviced they checked tire pressure and now low pressure light wont go off. All tires have same pressure

Are all the tires the max pressure? They should be. If nothing else, inflate to correct pressure then disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes and put it back on.
