Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

A rooftop aircon unit (in good working order) produces a lot of vibration in the house -- a single story, three bedroom structure. How to reduce or eliminate said vibration (feels like being inside a plane getting ready to take off).

Wow it sounds like the rotary blade inside the air conditioner unit is off center. You can take the item apart and see if the blades are warped or anything obvious. Otherwise you may need to install some rubber shock absorbers between it and the mounting point you have it on. I would definitely get it looked at though, even though it's working something is not right if it's gyrating that much.

Hi! You may want to use a flatform with rubber on it. One good example is 3/4 piece of plywood with rubber on the top and bottom where the air conditioner will sit. This will absorb the vibration and resolve the problem.

Incredibly noisy

Mine is too. Unscrew the plastic (housing) i guess you would call it.. From the inside of the unit. It should have 4 screws on the outside and i think a few more here an their.. pull tht cover off & you will see a divider tht separates the suction air and where the air blows out. Make sure tht it is completely sealed off to where the air has to go through the coils. I have owned 3 rvs now and every single one of them wasnt sealed off good. If its not go by a walmart, or any hardware store and pick you up some good quality foil tape & seal it up really good in their. Make sure the ducts are sealed good as well. If u see wood tape it off. That will make the unit actually run more efficient and quiet it down a little. Hope this helps.

What size of mattress is recommended for an adult?

There are three types that can fit an adult person (single/couple).

The full/double mattress - suit for a single sleeper who is less than 5.5' for a couple the recommended on this section is the full-size mattress.

Queen mattress - is a smaller mattress for a master bedroom and for couples who prefer close quarts. This matters also suits for singles who likes the space.

King size mattress - the best choice for couples, who likes lots of space for each other while they are sleeping, requires a very large master bedroom.

The mattresses names can change between different companies.

RV ac is vibrating

Take a good look at fan blade for a crack in one or more, as well as turn unit on & watch for vibration , then take a look at mount bushings on all items. Also with fan off (obviously) check shaft for movement, side to side, up & down, in & out. Your gasket between roof should only be compressed approx half it's original thickness. Some manufacturers tighten them down too much and can be a source of vibration as well. Not expensive or hard to change. Don't forget blower wheel as well.

Balancing problem Frigidaire stackable front load washer/dryer

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Kolin window type aircon shuts off by itself

This may be due to the size of the room. The master bedroom may be smaller than the living room? The unit is therefore reaching setpoint temperature and cycling (shutting off)? Or it could also be a faulty thermostat.

Menu display intermitent

display is disclosed which produces multiple visual displays in an intermittent manner which includes a display housing having a perimeter wall which is transparent during visual display and is an opaque mirror between visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing is a composite structure which preferably includes a transparent cylindrical substrate which is coated with an optical film and an opaque mask which defines display windows. Multiple visual displays are produced by a rotating display base which carries rows of rotating display elements. Preferably, the display elements are elongated triangular elements having three image faces which bear images which create the visual displays. The triangular display elements are arranged in a triangular configuration wherein the rows intersect one another at acute angles and are carried by the rotating base. The rotating base includes three display positions and each of the triangular elements includes three display positions. A stationary observer would see nine different visual displays and may see themselves mirrored in between and during the changes of visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing becomes transparent as the triangular display elements are backlit along their entire length by elongated fluorescent or neon light tubes. When the light tubes are off, the cylindrical display housing is an opaque mirror, preferably, about its entire periphery and height. Other embodiments of the invention include a single row of triangular display elements, and a rotating display base which includes display faces consisting of only a single display element.
