Many of hte Sharps used a cable that had teh DC socket at one end and a "battery" at the other end. The part that goes to the camera actually looks like a battery with wires coming out of the top. What model do you have? I can provide a better description and perhaps a part number for a replacement.

My hitachi camcorder says I need an AC adapter/charger

Hi Riannasmail,
You need a camcorder to charger DC cable,it looks like a battery with a trailing cable that has a DC plug on the end that plugs into the Hitachi battery charger. If you are in the USA you should be able to buy one for about $8 to $12,if you live in UK you will be ripped off at about £24.
I made my own adaptor and charger system for less than £20,If you need more info please contact me.

Charging Panasonic NV-DS38

Yes that is correct.

You have to use a separate charger as the "DC in" socket is on the camera body underneath the battery.

Yes it is the dc socket that you will use to charge your battery . It charges right on the camcorder itself with your ac adaptor . make sure the camcorder is in off postion for it to charge.

Where do i plug in a cable to connect the cam to a tv or computer? i only see an ear socket and an ext mic socket on the cam.

On my Panasonic camcorder, the RCA plug-ins are in a separate compartment covered with liftable flap. Try searching for this flap. My flap is next to the battery compartment.

Battery or Charger bad?

If you persistently leave the batteries discharged, it is unlikely that they will be able to hold a full charge. You should re-charge your batteries at least once a month, even if unused. Put it on your calendar. BTW 2 years old is hardly 'brand new'.

Its appealing simple; Probably you will be accepting sony handcam charger accepting a cable thats declared to fit into ur camcorder and again allegation the battery. For charging the EFORCE FH50 battery, you just allegation to admit that the of the aforementioned cable anon into the battery(DC-IN slot) and bung ur charger into the bank socket. It commonly takes 135 mins to absolutely allegation the battery. Once answerable the LED at tthe DC-IN aperture will about-face off. (During charging its yellow)3_27_2012_9_39_48_am.gif

Sharp view cam

This style camcorder has an adapter that feeds off of the battery charger...the charger plugs into the wall on top of the charger you place the battery and if you look on the front of the charger you will/should have an outlet that looks like two holes. This charger should have come with an adapter that looks like the battery only it is attached to a cord. You should than be able to open the battery compartment and insert the corded (battery) and presto it works...if you do not have one you can contact Sharpusa.com
