Question about JVC Ksax4302 Bridgable 4-Channel Power Amplifier with 600 Watts Max. Music Power

1 Answer

I just bought a VC KS-AX4302 amplifier. When hooked up to power, the amp immediately turns on and the deck turns on and starts playing music, with no key in the ignition. Both stay on until the power is disconnected. I am using all of the same hook-ups from my old amp, which did not exhibit this problem.

You must have gotten the power lines mixed up. You need to connect the power to the amp and radio the the switched side of the power supply. Or, you connected the amp power and the amp switch wire, usually the blue wire in reverse.

My jvc ks-ax4302 goes straight to protection when I turn it on, just curious what could be the cause and where could I find a schematic of the mother board?

If the Power/Protect LED is red, usually the speaker wiring has a short-circuit or the speaker total impedance is wrong for the system. The most common issue is a bare spot on a speaker wire that is coming in contact with part of the car or another bare wire. Sometimes, it just means that the system got too hot.

Before you look for a problem with the KS-AX4302 board, look at your wiring and replace any damaged wires.

I hope this helps.

My amp stopped workin, when i turn the stereo on, the green light is on, then when the music starts to play it turns red and stops working,

The red light on amplifier relates to power supply while the green light is indication of sound functionality. An amplifier that allows sound to generate should display both red and green lights. Howeever, some amplifiers would display only green as long as the sound is functioning.

Solving the problem

First, a red light still on means the power connections to the amplifier is fucntional least requirng repairs.

Second, the green ligh should turn on once the stereo were tuned up to produce sound. If the stereo is still on only least produce sound on the amplifier, check on the connection wires between stereo to amplifier that may have disconnected due to woofing or dubbing sound generals with unfirm wiring.

Car subwoofer amp powerup problem, insufficient remote voltage

Your deck sends 4.5 volts only through the rca jacks to send musical information to the amp, which is a good musical signal. On the rear of the deck there should be a blue wire called a remote turn on( or antenna or amp turn on ). Any of these wires send a 12 volt signal to whatever you hook them up to. run a wire from any of these wires that were just mentioned to the remote terminal on the amp, whenever you turn on the deck it should turn on the amp now. If for some reason your deck does not have any of these wires you can run a wire to the fuse box and pull the fuse that is designated for the radio-twist your wire over one prong of the fuse and insert the fuse back into its spot and turn your vehicle on- you may need to reprogram your radio but probably not depends on how you have it wired up-anyhow in this configuration every time you turn on the key to the acc or start it up it should turn your amp on .

Amp power protector comes on

Dis connect the sub then turn it on, don't let the wires touch or it will have a problem. If your lucky, it's just your sub that needs replaced. If not, your amp needs serviced. Rockford use to have a three year warranty... I'm not sure what they have now since mass merchants beat up the line. Hope this helps

Sony output problem

All i did was mess with the REM wire, and found out i had to hook the REM wire to the blue/white wire on the deck. Instead of the blue/white wire, i had it hooked up to the solid blue wire on the deck which was preventing my amp from playing on CD.
